Redmine Bug #5053 (New): Attempt to download either yields empty file or throws an error (Bespin)https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/50532010-06-18T12:22:13ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

2007F_BS111_Exam3 (moyerbrailean.619.14)

Assessment has 50 items and displays all metadata on the website.
But, any attempt to download it seems to fail.
For example, with one metadata item chosen to be downloaded, a download
results in an empty .csv file to be returned.
When I increased this number, to say 10, then attempt to download
transpose or non-transpose resulted in the following error:

HTTP Status 500 -

type Exception report

message

Assessments uploaded to the Bespin server via Morpho are visible under Morpho
interface as a saved data package. But, the same assessment is shown to have
ZERO items when viewed on the FIRST website!

e.g., 2007F_BS111_Exam1 (moyerbrailean.452.18) and Jay_BS111_2007Fall_Exam1 (jlee.4079.4)

This happens especially when an assessment is re-opened for edits and saved
on to the server.
Bug #4863 (Resolved): Assessments saved on the server and opened on a non-local machine do not di...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/48632010-03-02T23:13:58ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

Assessments that are created and saved on to the network using Morpho
and later reopened on the same machine as the one used for creating it,
by the same user, display the assessment items, corresponding images,
and the original document, correctly. But, when a different machine
is used or when a different user tries to open the same assessment,
all the images (irrespective of if they are in the foils or not)
go missing!

The XML documents corresponding to the assessment items do seem to
have valid Ecogrid URIs. Ideally, the Morpho interface should be able
to access the image from the server and display it in conjunction to
the local copy of the XML document. So, why doesn't this happen?
Bug #4384 (Resolved): "Browse All Assessments" on FIRST website generates http error prior to loginhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43842009-09-14T14:11:44ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

On http://www.egr.msu.edu/first/, when a user clicks on the
"Browse All Assessments" link prior to logging in, the server generates the
following error in a pop-up window: "failure making ajax call" followed by the
following message on the page:

HTTP Status 500 -

type Exception report
message
description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
exception
java.lang.NullPointerException
edu.ucsb.nceas.metacat.MetaCatServlet.handleGetOrPost(MetaCatServlet.java:843)
edu.ucsb.nceas.metacat.MetaCatServlet.doPost(MetaCatServlet.java:521)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:637)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:717)
org.vfny.geoserver.filters.SetCharacterEncodingFilter.doFilter(SetCharacterEncodingFilter.java:122)
note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/6.0.18 logs.

Note that this functionality was previously working fine. We have consistently noticed this behavior on various browsers.
Bug #4376 (Resolved): "?column?" appears as the header for last foil in downloaded datahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43762009-09-10T17:42:49Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

when downloading an assessment with a mix of questions, we sometimes see the ?column? label show as the last foil.
This will happen when the "first" question that we select does not have a foil (say there are A-D options for this first question, but other questions include a 5th (E) option).
This should not affect the returned data, except that it may be confusing. Because of how the download query is generated, it's not immediately clear how we can prevent this from happening (especially since every assessment or set of assessments can be very different).
Bug #4329 (Resolved): Allow offline XML validationhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43292009-08-24T21:01:02Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Need to be able to run morpho/first without a constant internet connection. For schema-based validation of EdML and QTI, all imports need to be included in the installation.
Bug #3870 (Resolved): assesment datahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38702009-03-08T22:39:47ZJay Leeleejon20@msu.edu

can't download assesment data from the website
i guess we talked about this issue alreay and thought solved this problem
but i can't download it.
Bug #3821 (New): Cannot launch parser within Morpho when using Java 1.6https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38212009-02-17T23:54:23Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

There's some bad/old data and metadata sitting on fred and this introduces errors!
Bug #3522 (Resolved): Allow specification of points possible for each question during data uploadhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35222008-10-09T21:04:40ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

We want the user to be able to upload the number of points possible for each question. Because it's possible that they have this information in their grading spreadsheet, this should happen during the data upload process. After that, the information may end up as part of the QTI, or part of the uploaded CSV file. It's not clear which of these is most desirable at this point.

There are several cases that should be supported:
1. The user has the data in the spreadsheet
2. The user wants to specify that all questions have the same point value
3. The user wants to enter in the information for each question (maybe starting with 2 and then editing the results)
Bug #3518 (Resolved): Allow [re]editing of question-level metadatahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35182008-10-09T04:29:21Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

The content of the question items can be edited, but the concept categories, blooms taxonomy, etc... can only be edited upon initial parsing.
Need to expand the XML deserialization so that those metadata fields can be edited after the fact.
Bug #3344 (Resolved): after completing metadata wizard, response data import link shows up premat...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/33442008-05-30T17:13:48ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

When the metadata wizrd completes, the last page is a message that says one can either 'Finish', or import a data dtable directly. The link text is: 'or click here to finish this wizard and add a new data table now'. Clicking the link brings up the Assessment data import wizard, but this is premature because the user has not yet parsed an assessment to get the questions. Maybe we should just delete this link from the final wizard page?
Bug #3343 (Resolved): clicking 'Launch Parser' does not work properlyhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/33432008-05-30T16:54:17ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

Clicking 'Launch Parser' from the dialog that is accessed from 'Data|Parse Assessment' doesn't work, and behaves in one of two ways. Either it 1) does nothing visible on the UI, or 2) opens a blank grey dialog box with the title 'Assessment Importer'. To reproduce, just click the link.
Bug #3008 (Resolved): create prioritized use case list and descriptionshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/30082007-11-19T19:50:16ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

FIRST is now at a point where design decisions are critical, and need to be based on an centralized, organized, and prioritized list of use cases. Use cases should be uniformly described using a common template with key information such as:

Use case name

Use case description

Preconditions

Triggering events

Basic couse of events

Postconditions

For a good description of use cases, see:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Use_case
For an example of use cases from another project, see:
http://reap.ecoinformatics.org/Wiki.jsp?page=Terrestrial_usecases
