Redmine Bug #4536 (Resolved): IE6 causes socket connection error on downloadhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45362009-11-06T20:52:51Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

When attempting to download with IE6 - there is a "Broken pipe" SocketConnection exception thrown when flushing the response.
Bug #4452 (Resolved): Meta data associated with assessement items is incorrectly retrieved in the...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/44522009-10-14T21:32:13ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

Jay created a new assessment called Permission Test 1 with 8 questions,
each of which had one or more meta data associated with. We then looked at
four places to confirm that meta data was being retrieved correctly.
a) XML file saved locally
b) The parser interface when the assessment is re-opened
c) On the FIRST website by viewing the details about an assessment, and
d) Downloaded data package.

Case 1: Multiple Bloom and NBII metadata added

Five distinct metadata items on the whole added to the assessment.

Q1 has both bloom and nbii items

- XML file: No errors
- Parser: No errors (all meta data displayed correctly)
- Website: No errors (all meta data displayed correctly when the
details link is clicked)
- Download: * One item is completely missing
* For another item, the thesarus category is completely
missing and all the questions have a TRUE value in that
row!

Incorrectly retrieving metadata on the transpose
e.g., missing items, missing metadata class, and
incorrect association of meta data to
questions

Non-transpose data set missing meta data items on
multiple questions. Although, there were questions
for which one meta data per source (Bloom and NBII)
was listed.

Case 2: Multiple Bloom, NBII, and manually added meta data to Permission Test 1

- XML file: No errors
- Parser: No errors
- Website: No errors
- Download: Similar errors as above

Bug #4414 (Resolved): Only 1 item-level metadata tag is downloaded with data filehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/44142009-09-24T20:01:43Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

first values seems to be repeated and others are ignored. Same is true for transpose version of data download
Bug #4413 (Resolved): Set access for response PDFs to be same as data filehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/44132009-09-24T19:59:50Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Currently these resources are not assigned anything but the default permissions
Bug #4412 (Resolved): Include download link for response PDFshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/44122009-09-24T19:46:00Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Student responses stored in external files (PDFs) are being tracked and uploaded as part of the data file. But they are not included as part of the downloaded data.
They should appear as normal, clickable URLs for the PDFs
Bug #4406 (New): Include assessmentItemId in the Metacat indexPaths propertyhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/44062009-09-21T19:37:24Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

For performance - we need to remember to include:
"assessmentItems/assessmentItem/assessmentItemId"
in the metacat property:
"xml.indexPaths"
otherwise searches for assessments across items will take quite a bit more time.
Bug #4387 (Resolved): Query search, based on item-level metadata fails!https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43872009-09-14T15:56:35ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

It does not appear that queries are searching item-level meta data.

For a test case created by Jay to test retrieval of assessments based on item level meta data (jlee.2758.*), with Bloom meta data associated with each item
when it was uploaded. The downloaded package actually shows all the meta data.

But, when we query for Bloom meta data (e.g., Evaluation) the server returns
"0 items found" when the item with qid jlee.2764_1 clearly has that meta data
associated.

Then, Jay associated a keyword "Comprehension" to the assessment itself and
uploaded the revised package. Now, when we perform a query with search string
"Comprehension" under Keyword field, the relevant document was retrieved showing
that the server was only searching assessment level meta data.
Bug #4386 (Resolved): Trouble loading assessment items!https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43862009-09-14T15:34:46ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

The FIRST website seems to have unusually long turnaround time with displaying
assessment items when a user clicks on the "details" link associated with an
assessment! The same functionality works pretty fast on Bespin.
Bug #4385 (Resolved): FIRST website usability issue: Cannot add an assessment to datacart from a ...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43852009-09-14T14:32:25ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

When a user clicks on an assessment to view its metadata and item details
on FIRST website, there is no option on the new page generated to actually
add that assessment to the data cart. The user has to go back to the page that
displays the list of assessments to be able to add it to the data cart, which is
not that user-friendly!
Bug #4384 (Resolved): "Browse All Assessments" on FIRST website generates http error prior to loginhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43842009-09-14T14:11:44ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

On http://www.egr.msu.edu/first/, when a user clicks on the
"Browse All Assessments" link prior to logging in, the server generates the
following error in a pop-up window: "failure making ajax call" followed by the
following message on the page:

HTTP Status 500 -

type Exception report
message
description The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
exception
java.lang.NullPointerException
edu.ucsb.nceas.metacat.MetaCatServlet.handleGetOrPost(MetaCatServlet.java:843)
edu.ucsb.nceas.metacat.MetaCatServlet.doPost(MetaCatServlet.java:521)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:637)
javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:717)
org.vfny.geoserver.filters.SetCharacterEncodingFilter.doFilter(SetCharacterEncodingFilter.java:122)
note The full stack trace of the root cause is available in the Apache Tomcat/6.0.18 logs.

Note that this functionality was previously working fine. We have consistently noticed this behavior on various browsers.
Bug #4376 (Resolved): "?column?" appears as the header for last foil in downloaded datahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43762009-09-10T17:42:49Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

when downloading an assessment with a mix of questions, we sometimes see the ?column? label show as the last foil.
This will happen when the "first" question that we select does not have a foil (say there are A-D options for this first question, but other questions include a 5th (E) option).
This should not affect the returned data, except that it may be confusing. Because of how the download query is generated, it's not immediately clear how we can prevent this from happening (especially since every assessment or set of assessments can be very different).
Bug #4374 (Resolved): transposed data download returns only 1 itemhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43742009-09-10T16:42:06Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

When downloading assessment data with the "transpose" option selected, the dataset is incomplete.
Bug #4284 (Resolved): Unable to download student response data from the EGR server via FIRST websitehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/42842009-08-07T03:33:28ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

While using http://www.egr.msu.edu/first website, we noticed that a user is able
to browse through various assessments that have been uploaded, add any assessment of interest to the data cart, and also view the assessment items by clicking the "details" tab. But, when we try to download the student response data corresponding to the assessment as a ".csv" file, the download seldom takes place for assessments of reasonable size. For example, Jay had uploaded two
assessments called "2005 Fall Exam 2" and "2002 Fall Final" with 396 students and 50 questions (items) and 8 students and 84 items, respectively. With both of these assessments, when the user clicks the download link,
after a large amount of waiting time, probably 5-10 minutes, the server eventually displays a blank page with the URL ending in download.jsp.

On the other hand, a couple of test assessments, one with 14 students and 3 items and other with 2 students and 2 items, the download feature worked fine
although a significant delay was noticed when Ryan tried to download them on his computer using a Firefox browser.
Bug #3876 (Resolved): data download format in CSV filehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38762009-03-10T18:27:27ZJay Leeleejon20@msu.edu

Mark here on Jay's account as I don't seem to have a bugzilla ID....

Downloaded CSV files from the datacart are not rectangular, they are normalized. We discussed this several times. Faculty need a rectangular dataset even though it offends database sensibilities.
Bug #3870 (Resolved): assesment datahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38702009-03-08T22:39:47ZJay Leeleejon20@msu.edu

can't download assesment data from the website
i guess we talked about this issue alreay and thought solved this problem
but i can't download it.
