Redmine Bug #3828 (Resolved): Ignored pages are not ignoredhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38282009-02-18T18:03:00Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Used doc10.pdf sample and clicked to ignore all but the first page...ended up with all questions being included when the parser finished it's parsing.
Bug #3827 (Resolved): User is prompted to deal with Vector graphics on ignored pageshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38272009-02-18T17:57:08Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

When pages of a PDF have been marked as "Ignore Page" the parser still prompts the user to draw bounding boxes around the desired vector graphics.
Bug #3746 (Resolved): Need ability to make text superscript and subscripthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/37462009-01-13T21:44:17ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

These would be buttons similar to the bold and italics buttons on the toolbar, and would need to work the same way.
Bug #3745 (Resolved): Bold, italics and underline buttons are not functionalhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/37452009-01-13T21:39:51ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

The buttons to make text bold, underlined and italicized do not function.

The JEditorPane class has a method that can be used to apply the bold action to the selected text; note that when we move from one JEditorPane to another, however, we need to update the action associated with the toolbar button/menu to be the right one.

There should also be standard keyboard short-cuts associated with these buttons.
Bug #3707 (Resolved): PDF parser exceptions on Linuxhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/37072008-12-16T23:44:28Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

The search dialog currently includes tabs that are only relevant to EML searches.
Bug #3676 (Resolved): NBII Thesaurus lookup: "remember" last search resultshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36762008-11-18T00:49:22Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

To reduce the webservice overhead, we don't want to force a new search every time we open the NBI lookup screen - often we are returning to the same concept neighborhood as it is...
Bug #3674 (Resolved): External Response file not saved in data tablehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36742008-11-17T18:30:23Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

I selected and mapped an external file for the responses, but it did not end up in the data table after the wizard finished.
Bug #3665 (Resolved): Need to indicate where instructions for multi-part question gohttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36652008-11-13T12:09:08ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

When a student was trying to edit a multi-part question, it was unclear to her where the instructions common to the question should go. Right now there is only a unlabeled text box; it needs to be labeled somehow.
Bug #3653 (Resolved): Editing questions after parsing: need to handle ecogrid referenced imageshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36532008-11-13T01:23:45Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

When we save the Assessment Items as QTI documents, we also transform the URIs for those images into the ecogrid references (they become binary data objects that are saved locally and to the server).
On subsequent editing of an assessment item with an associated picture, the Image is not placed in the UI since it cannot currently be found (likely just looking in the local filesystem).
We need it to be more intelligent when it renders the assessment item editing interface so that both local file URIs and ecogrid URIs are resolved correctly
Bug #3651 (Resolved): Invalid QTI serialization for hotspot image questionshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36512008-11-13T00:39:11Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Error from metacat:
cvc-complex-type.2.4.a: Invalid content starting with element 'material'. One of '{"":render_choice, "":render_hotspot, "":render_slider, "":render_fib, "http://www.imsglobal.org/xsd/ims_qtiasiv1p2":render_extension}' is expected.
Bug #3643 (Resolved): Invalid QTI serialization for image materialhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36432008-11-12T20:08:25Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

For parsed exams that include images, the QTI XML generated does not conform to the QTI specification. The error (in Metacat logs) is:
cvc-complex-type.3.2.2: Attribute 'imagetype' is not allowed to appear in element 'matimage'.
Bug #3629 (Resolved): Make it clearer where images can be droppedhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36292008-11-12T11:55:36ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

If we are dragging and dropping an image, possible targets are highlighted when the mouse cursor is over them. However, you have to drag the cursor around to find the possible targets.

Perhaps adding an "Image" label into the GUI would make it so that people can understand where the image goes more easily.
Bug #3628 (Resolved): Question number (and choice number) included in prompthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36282008-11-12T11:53:49ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

Even when we successfully recognize the question number for a question, we are still including the number in the prompt for the question. It seems that the question number could be automatically pulled out of the question.
Bug #3626 (Resolved): Too hard to find edit button on multi-part questionshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36262008-11-12T11:39:37ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

If you scroll down to a subsequent part of a multi-part question, it is easy to lose where the edit button is, since it only is displayed at the top of the question.

We need to somehow make it easier to put the question in edit mode when an error is noticed. I'm in favor of doing so when a mouse click occurs. Right now the text can be highlighted, but nothing can be done with it unless you're actually in edit mode.
