Redmine Bug #4329 (Resolved): Allow offline XML validationhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/43292009-08-24T21:01:02Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Need to be able to run morpho/first without a constant internet connection. For schema-based validation of EdML and QTI, all imports need to be included in the installation.
Bug #3966 (Resolved): Buggy functionality: Show Images - Hide Images in questionComponenthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/39662009-04-08T16:28:52ZSandeep Namilikondasandeep.namilikonda@gmail.com

In MainWindow, when the ShowImages button is clicked, an image pane is added to
a question component. At this point, if the EditQuestion action is activated,
the image pane disappears but the button displayed corresponding to images is "HideImages"! Further, if the EditQuestionMode is exited, the HideImages button is what is still active even if there is no image pane displayed.

Next, when the ShowImages button is clicked and an image is selected for addition, the image pane's container for the image that reads
"Drag new image here" does not act as a receiver of the dropped image.
Basically, when a user drags and drops an image in there for the
very first time for a question, it doesn't work. Instead, a blue bar appears above the image pane and just below the "Prompt", which is able to receive the image and then displays it within the image pane! Subsequent additions to the image pane seem to work fine.

I noticed the above behavior consistently over multiple documents.
Bug #3879 (Resolved): Allow user to exit without savinghttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38792009-03-10T21:15:32ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

In MainWindow, right now if the user closes the window via the system close command, MainWindow will close without saving the document. It's desirable to be able to do this, but the user should be warned if they do this; otherwise they will potentially lose lots of work.

We'd also like the user to be able to exit without saving via the File menu. This should execute the same code that clicking on the system close button does, so that we handle both of these cases uniformly.
Bug #3865 (Resolved): Add question before first question while parsing an examhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38652009-03-08T20:51:52ZJay Leeleejon20@msu.edu

i think it would be better if there is add question option on the top of question page. there is some case that parser could not extract the first question but the only option we can add that question is to add it as next question.
Bug #3832 (Resolved): Add ability to restart parsing process in Parserhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38322009-02-19T20:02:06ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

Basically we need to be able to serialize the list of Questions from within MainWindow. Then there needs to be functionality from within the Morpho client to restart MainWindow without actually parsing a PDF, instead loading the question list from the serialized version.

The serialized version of the questions should also contain a pointer to the PDF file, if possible, which we will assume will be accessible on the same machine that the question list is serialized.

We'll also need to have a menu option in MainWindow to allow for save, and when we close the applications, we want to ask user whether they are done or not.
Bug #3794 (Resolved): Add tool tip text to controls in the Main parser windowhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/37942009-01-29T19:55:41ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

Tool tips will help with usability
Bug #3793 (Resolved): Add ignored region selections to vector image selection pagehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/37932009-01-29T19:54:35ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

Right now the ignored region selections are not shown on the vector image page, which can give the user the impression that the changes were not saved.
Bug #3747 (Resolved): Allow navigating by question within the parserhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/37472009-01-13T21:55:16ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

Scrolling the ExtractedQuestionsPane should provide a way to move question by question. This could work by overriding getBlockIncrement(), or we could provide a separate UI to do it. This would allow much quicker navigation.
Bug #3733 (Resolved): Assigning response columns incorrectly checks for numeric datahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/37332009-01-08T18:28:04ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

When clicking on which column contains responses, you are prompted when the data is non-numeric. This should only happen for scores. I was doing this with regularly spaced columns, not sure if it happens when that is not the case.
Bug #3660 (Resolved): Auto-scroll window when performing a selectionhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36602008-11-13T11:51:35ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

When an image is being selected and we need to scroll to see the whole image, we should try to figure out how to make this happen. Right now it can be accomplished through resizing, but users don't always notice this.
Bug #3536 (Resolved): Allow PDF view to "pop out" of GUI parserhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35362008-10-16T21:12:52ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

For me at least, it's very hard to use the split pane view where the PDF is shown at the bottom. If it could be shown in a separate window, I think that would be good.

There's an option in the view menu of MainWindow to do this, but it is not yet implemented.
Bug #3534 (Resolved): Allow move by question scrolling in MainWindowhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35342008-10-16T20:52:16ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

It would be nice if there was a way to navigate from question to question within the GUI environment for editing questions.
Bug #3522 (Resolved): Allow specification of points possible for each question during data uploadhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35222008-10-09T21:04:40ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

We want the user to be able to upload the number of points possible for each question. Because it's possible that they have this information in their grading spreadsheet, this should happen during the data upload process. After that, the information may end up as part of the QTI, or part of the uploaded CSV file. It's not clear which of these is most desirable at this point.

There are several cases that should be supported:
1. The user has the data in the spreadsheet
2. The user wants to specify that all questions have the same point value
3. The user wants to enter in the information for each question (maybe starting with 2 and then editing the results)
Bug #3457 (Resolved): Can't immediately edit new choice for multiple choice questionhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/34572008-07-24T20:33:48ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

Clicking edit, then adding a new choice doesn't allow the new choice to be edited until the edit button is clicked again. Then the text is editable.
Bug #3359 (In Progress): Allow files to be assigned to only sensible types of datahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/33592008-06-03T17:39:51ZRyan McFallmcfall@hope.edu

It doesn't make sense to allow files to be assigned to scores, number of tries, or time - probably only Responses and Feedback.

As part of this process, it probably makes sense to make an enum of the possible data types, and then modify ChooseTypesOfDataToImport to create a checkbox for the types of values in that enum.
