Redmine Bug #3620 (Resolved): Dataquery across Assessments in the cart returns only one assessmenthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36202008-11-11T00:59:41Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Something has happened with the dataquery form submission - my hunch is that it is a nesting form field problem with all the crazy ajax calls being made within the cart results.
Bug #3604 (Resolved): Deploy FIRST-enabled Metacat on dev machinehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36042008-11-07T01:48:41Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Undecided on whether to use existing dev Metacat (that contains 15k+ documents) or to make an entirely new instance.
I think for now I'll just use the existing Metacat instance and share it with the EML documents.
Bug #3603 (Resolved): Clean up data on fred.msi.ucsb.eduhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36032008-11-07T01:43:15Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

There's some bad/old data and metadata sitting on fred and this introduces errors!
Bug #3602 (Resolved): Edit wording in header graphichttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/36022008-11-07T01:29:12Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

After today's meeting, they indicated that the "FIRST II" should have the numerals removed (since we're technically on the 4th round of funding...).
Additionally, they'd like to have it read like so:

FIRST Assessment Database
Faculty Institutes for Reforming Science Teaching

Hopefully we can preserve the boy with the looking glass. maybe three lines of text is called for. I think "FIRST" can be in the largest font size, and "Assessment Database" can be a bit smaller - but larger than the current spelled-out FIRST acronym.
Bug #3520 (Resolved): Provide a "generic" structured search fieldhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35202008-10-09T04:39:19Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Currently you can search by:
-any field
-instructor surName
-course title
-institution name
-year

Adding a more flexible picklist of many different metadata fields would be a neat feature - and would allow for more expressive searches.

User would select the field they want to search, then enter a search term (we've seen this type of interface many times! any old library catalog has it these days.)
Bug #3517 (Resolved): Select metadata fields only from within "cart"https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35172008-10-09T04:26:48Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Web app should restrict field selection until one of the last steps before download - selecting the fields from the metadata view is confusing (and non-additive).
Bug #3516 (Resolved): Simplify "shopping cart" web interfacehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35162008-10-09T04:22:13Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

-Checkboxes are awkward (use add/remove like in VegBank)
-State of shopping cart should be evident from all screens
-Metadata field selections should not be done from the individual assessment view
Bug #3515 (Resolved): Redesign FIRST data repository web interfacehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/35152008-10-09T04:14:13Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

While it might be functional, it's not winning any pageants.
A nice graphical refresh - thanks to our new fearless graphics guru, Debi - would be welcomed!
Mostly need the header dealt with, and perhaps some hints as to how to format the section markers and page layout.
