Redmine Bug #2916 (Resolved): Planted Stem Data: Removing default on new line results in adding new recordhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/29162007-08-28T22:03:39ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

Removing the default is sensitive to the difference between a value and text of control. Somehow if on recordset.EOF. Check for recordset .EOF before editing field.
Bug #2908 (Resolved): FirstTimeUser form improvementshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/29082007-08-17T18:41:04ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

It says you have to fill in the field before moving to a new field, but that's almost always false.
Bug #2907 (Resolved): First time user button should move to left on main menuhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/29072007-08-17T18:39:20ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

It's not noticeable on the right hand side of the menu.
Bug #2857 (Resolved): Extra message box displayed "About to update 1 row" on startuphttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28572007-06-02T21:03:36ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

This happens when confirmations are not yet up. To fix:

Public Function configureCancelBackupOnCloseFields(blnBackup As Boolean)
On Error Resume Next
'updates the option to not backup (or to allow backups) when database is closed
'useful to turn this off if compacting db or if backing up now
Dim rstTemp As New ADODB.Recordset
rstTemp.Open "SEKLECT * FROM backupOptions;", CurrentProject.Connection, adOpenForwardOnly, adLockOptimistic, adCmdText
If Not rstTemp.EOF Then
rstTemp!doNotBackupOnCloseOnce = Not blnBackup
rstTemp.Update
End If
rstTemp.Close
End Function
Bug #2854 (Resolved): Data checking is redundanthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28542007-05-25T13:44:34ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

Some checks are duplicated in error check: stem source value, for example. Need only one check, and duplicate checks are annoying. In general, the error checking is a bit more annoying than it should be. Ignoring errors (there's a bug for that, too) would be quite helpful.
Bug #2846 (Resolved): Allow easier deletion of rows in main data formshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28462007-05-17T09:44:32ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

Several users have not known how to do this, and they thus must choose a species and not fill in any data. Who knows how long they worked on trying to delete it. Add a button or something.
Bug #2825 (Resolved): Unfolding data with invalid list of intensive modules doesn't properly exithttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28252007-04-16T23:48:17ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

When there are improper lists, it warns you, but when you cancel, it doesn't really stop.
Bug #2821 (Resolved): presence not correct in R module on new unfolding codehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28212007-04-14T00:46:41ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

I unfolded something that had 13 in R module, and it assigned presence as 0.
Bug #2820 (Resolved): Auto-truncate values in stem form to nearest integer (big stems only)https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28202007-04-13T16:52:34ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

decimal values should be truncated to the floor() integer. Make this happen automatically. Add a note so users don't get frustrated that 24.7 goes to 24.
Bug #2816 (Resolved): Try to migration without old temp tableshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28162007-04-09T20:14:35ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

Migration from entry tables currently goes through old SAS-style temporary tables, but this is painful to debug and could embed some difficult to find error. So, I will try to write the data directly from the entry tables to the vegbank-style tables.
Bug #2815 (Resolved): remove user_entry table and use party insteadhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28152007-04-09T20:13:31ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

Using the party table will better facilitate users in the database and not require users to enter themselves twice. Will need to add initials field to party for this.
Bug #2814 (Resolved): Add file name to database title and/or main menu titlehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28142007-04-09T20:09:15ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

This helps clarify what database file one is working with.
Bug #2811 (Resolved): Opening database fails when user in CVS_Entry_options isn't in user_entryhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28112007-04-06T22:24:32ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

SQL joining two tables is inner join to keep writable, but need a different solution, as this prevents opening the db, with no recourse!

This would only happen if someone (like me) was monkeying with the innards of the db.
Bug #2802 (Resolved): Height error not specified in unfoldinghttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28022007-03-16T21:02:58ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

height error doesn't seem to be correctly populated in the unfolding process.
Bug #2800 (Resolved): DBA screens do not check for header notes to be OK'dhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28002007-03-16T18:37:51ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

The notes for each species are checked, but the ones for the full plot aren't, but sometimes these notes impact things greatly.
