Chris first reported this by e-mail, but I'm still seeing it. Aaron, svn says you put these lines in.

Error: ptolemy is either not a suite or wasn't downloaded correctly.

ptolemy looks like it downloaded, svn returned no errors, and the second time I run the command, I get "The module ptolemy already exists." followed by the error.
Bug #4671 (Resolved): cannot export workflow runs when workflow has actors with <> in the nameshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/46712010-01-15T01:25:58ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

This is with modules\build-area at r22254. ant clean-all and ant clean-cache both fail:

build-area\build.xml:4: The following error occurred while executing this line:
build-area\settings\taskdefs.xml:34: typedef class org.kepler.build.CleanDotKepler cannot be found

I haven't figured out a workaround yet.
Bug #4599 (Resolved): changing Expression and running problematic workflow generates blank reporthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45992009-12-04T00:54:20ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

This uses the same workflow in Bug 4598. Open the workflow and change the "Figure Number" Expression from 1 to 12. Run the workflow and view the output. It should be a single blank page with a time/date stamp at the bottom.
Bug #4560 (Resolved): can't remove local repositorieshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45602009-11-19T22:27:50ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

This may be related to bug 4559, but attempting to remove local repositories from the components sources list gives a "Unable to remove repository root directory. null" error. Of course, since the repositories don't exist in the tree...
Bug #4540 (Resolved): authentication problems with dev.nceas.ucsb.eduhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45402009-11-10T18:42:02ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

If I start Kepler and open a workflow that accesses the dev metacat, I get some error messages and this on the console:

ERROR (org.ecoinformatics.seek.datasource.EcogridDataCacheItem:getDataItemFromEcoGrid:330) EcogridDataCacheItem - error connecting to Ecogrid
AxisFault
faultCode: {http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/}Server.userException
faultSubcode:
faultString: java.rmi.RemoteException: Please specify an identifier

The DEV server no longer shows up in my data sources list.
Bug #4534 (Resolved): add extra space before section headers when BREAK_BEFORE is falsehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45342009-11-05T19:21:51ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

This is so incredibly trivial, but I can't lower the priority on this any more than it already is.

Section breaks, when BREAK_BEFORE is false, are tight to the previous content on the top, but there is plenty of room between the section header text and the section header horizontal rule. Right now, it looks like the section header text is part of the previous content, and it would look better if there were more space above the section header text.

A workaround is to add a couple of blank text entry boxes before the section header.
Bug #4530 (Resolved): changing a KAR outside of a Kepler session fails without a clean-cachehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45302009-11-04T08:25:37ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

If I create a KAR, close Kepler, modify the ROML (unzip, text editor, re-zip), then replace the original KAR and start Kepler again, I see the original report, which does not actually reflect the KAR file. A clean-cache will fix it.

This may not be a big issue, since few people are likely to edit the KAR file directly. On the other hand, I have modified workflow XML files directly on a number of occasions.

I will attach two example files. One is the original and the other is hand-modified. To trigger this bug, the one has to replace the other file, so they have to have the same name.
Bug #4528 (Resolved): BREAK_BEFORE property for report sections does not workhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45282009-11-04T06:14:09ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

I'm not sure if this is broken or just hasn't been implemented, but if I create a trivial workflow and create a trivial report (text, section, text) and set the BREAK_BEFORE property on the section to "true", there doesn't seem to actually be a break before the section.
Bug #4523 (Resolved): apply button while editing ports acts like commithttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45232009-11-04T02:27:25ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

I think this was triggered by the fix for 4478. The apply button now acts like the commit button, as the ports window is closed even if there is no obvious failure of the change request and even if all of the changes seem to succeed.
Bug #4510 (Resolved): can't add local repository if its name begins with the name of another loca...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/45102009-10-28T19:24:57ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

If I've added C:\Documents and Settings\soong\Desktop\kruger as a local repository, I can't add C:\Documents and Settings\soong\Desktop\kruger2. It complains that one is a subdirectory of the other, even though they are not.
Bug #4143 (Resolved): "change failed" error while copy/paste-ing an ImageJ actorhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/41432009-06-09T23:21:26ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

This seems to affect only Windows systems and has to do with saved values in the fileOrURL parameter in the ImageJ actor. It seems to occur when the model run folder contained within the .kepler folder is deleted. To cause this to occur under Windows, create a trivial model (1 SDF, 1 RExpression, 1 ImageJ hooked to the RExpression's graphicsFileName port), run it once, then save it. Close Kepler, clean-cache, and open the model again. The actor cannot be copy/pasted.

The workaround is simply to delete the value in the fileOrURL parameter or find a linux/OSX system.
Bug #4033 (Resolved): Can't compile, MakeKars not foundhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/40332009-04-29T02:22:21ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

I can't get the head to build, and the compiler is complaining it can't find MakeKars. Revision 17442 will compile, though. This is with XP, kepler-trunk, having just done svn update and ant update.

Z:\kepler\modules\loader\src\org\kepler\core\loader\Loader.java:34: package org.kepler.build does not exist
import org.kepler.build.MakeKars;
^
Bug #3925 (Resolved): ant run does not always work from paths with spaceshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/39252009-03-31T20:18:53ZOliver Soongsoong@nceas.ucsb.edu

XP Pro x64 SP2, Java 1.6.0_11, Kepler 1.x dev build 17250

I checked out kepler to C:\Documents and Settings\soong\Desktop, but ant run doesn't work right. If I use the 8.3 filename, it almost works. If I create a junction at a path with no spaces, it works.

Path: C:\Documents and Settings\soong\Desktop\kepler\build-area
Fails due to whitespace quoting problem. Error says it can't find the main class "and" which it picks up from Documents and Settings.

Path: C:\Docume~1\soong\Desktop\kepler\build-area
Runs, but can't seem to access the network. I can't search KNB. There is no error, but it never returns. Existing datacans from loaded workflows are stuck at "Busy".

Path: C:\tmp\kepler\build-area
Seems to work for now.
