Redmine Bug #3134 (Resolved): demo workflow 02-LotkaVolterraPredatorPrey.xml needs windows resavedhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/31342008-02-05T22:06:23ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

The windows were saved over top of one another. If they are tiled, then resaved, it will be easier for people to see the output.
Bug #3133 (Resolved): R is not added to the pathhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/31332008-02-05T21:50:17ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

The errors cxh got with R seem to be coming from the fact that R is installed, but not put into the path on windows. I'm trying to figure out how to do that with IzPack right now.
Bug #3131 (Resolved): R is not added to the pathhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/31312008-02-05T21:31:32ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

The errors cxh got with R seem to be coming from the fact that R is installed, but not put into the path on windows. I'm trying to figure out how to do that with IzPack right now.
Bug #3129 (Resolved): links exist to ptII demos that do not workhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/31292008-02-05T21:18:43ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

There are links in the documentation for kepler to ptII demos that don't work. These demos need to be pulled out. The plan is to create a list of ptII demos that do work and eliminate the link to the ptolemy documentation from which they are currently linked.
Bug #3123 (Resolved): Change icons to be kepler specifichttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/31232008-02-01T23:54:58ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

Icons installed by the kepler installer need to be the kepler icons instead of the generic ones.
Bug #3105 (Resolved): Getting Started link on Welcome Page should lead to demoshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/31052008-01-29T00:19:50ZChristopher Brookscxh@eecs.berkeley.edu

This might be old news, but I'll report it anyway.

When I start up Kepler, the "Welcome" window has a link "Getting Started",
which leads to kepler/configs/kepler/introScientists-beta1.htm

introScientists-beta1.htm should have a link to
kepler/src/configs/ptolemy/configs/kepler/introScientists.htm
or else perhaps the Welcome Window should link directly to introScientists.htm
It is important that the demos be easily visble to new users.
Bug #3099 (Resolved): GetDocumentationAction.java needs to be moved into pII sourcehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/30992008-01-24T02:20:47Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Rather than maintain a copy of this class in the src/exp directory, it should be included in in the ptolemy project. AKA "folded into" the pII tree.
The class has been appropriately parameterized to behave as it originally did unless there is a "_multipleDocumentationAllowed" configuration parameter found.

This is a follow up to bug #3053
Bug #3094 (Resolved): File keyboard shortcuts use ctrl key instead of apple key on Machttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/30942008-01-23T01:40:58ZShawn Bowersbowers@gonzaga.edu

Unlike in View and Edit, File shortcuts use ^Key (ctrl+Key) instead of Apple^Key. These shortcuts include:

Open File

Save

Print

Close

Note also that on the actor right-click menu, Open Actor is Apple^L, whereas Configure Actor is Ctrl^E. In the original design, these were both supposed to be Apple^Key I believe.
Bug #3089 (Resolved): Actor port properties lost after saving to libraryhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/30892008-01-23T00:12:52ZShawn Bowersbowers@gonzaga.edu

If I select an actor (e.g., Garp Prediction), add a semantic type to one of its input ports, and save it back to the library (e.g., as My Garp Prediction), when I drag the actor back onto the canvas, the semantic type property is no longer available (it somehow was "lost in translation"). This happens with the latest version/update of Kepler and PTII (02/22/08).
Bug #3053 (Resolved): Multiple Documentation windows not possiblehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/30532008-01-08T20:39:37ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

Only a single documentation window can appear at a time and it remains the first one opened.
Bug #3030 (Resolved): Documentation says that kepler is version 1.0.0alpha8https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/30302007-12-14T17:30:11ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

If you go to the help/documentation menu and choose either "documentation for scientists" or "documentation for programmers" on the left side under the kepler menu, the version is listed as 1.0.0alpha8 in the programmer one and 1.0.0alpha9 for the scientists one. This should probably be removed or made so that it auto updates with the "version" ant tag.
Bug #2914 (Resolved): Broken link on a web pagehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/29142007-08-28T20:16:35ZBruce Charcharbw@drexel.edu

http://users.sdsc.edu/~altintas/codingStyle.pdf is mentioned on http://www.kepler-project.org/Wiki.jsp?page=SoftwareDevelopmentGuidelines but it doesn't load.
Bug #2490 (Resolved): Get ecogrid endpoints from Ecogrid registryhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/24902006-07-17T18:08:57ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

Currently, individual endpoints for SRB, metacat, GEON, and Digir ecogrid implementations are stored in the KEPLER/lib/config.xml file that ships with Kepler. Unfortunately, these endpoint may change. We need to update Kepler to retreive these from the Ecogrid registry (at startup?)so that they can change and just send new values to the registry (Otherwise, distributed versions of Kepler will break when endpoints are changed!)
Bug #1838 (Resolved): need user level documentationhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/18382004-12-16T22:57:28ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

we need a user level handbook for kepler with good examples of common things
people want to do...like loops, ifs, exception throwing/catching, monitoring
values, etc. This is extremely important if we want domain scientists to be
able use kepler and get into it the first time they see the app.
Bug #1334 (Resolved): need installer for keplerhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/13342004-02-09T16:53:43ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

We need a user friendly installer for Kepler. We could possibly use
installanywhere or a similar commercial product to produce the installer. it
would be nice if the creation of the installer is automated into the ant build
process so that it's easy to create releases. This needs to be done by the SEEK
meeting in EDI May 8.
