Redmine Bug #3929 (Resolved): Mulitple keywords aren't processed by the edit action properlyhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/39292009-04-02T00:00:17ZShaun Walbridgewalbridge@nceas.ucsb.edu

There's been a regression since 1.8.1 and editing multiple keywords no longer works (originally part of #3319). It looks like the token replacement branch never was updated with the fix applied in 1.8.1, just need to grab the relevant code and re-add it to trunk.
Bug #3928 (Resolved): Support multiple administrators ACL rules in editing existing documentshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/39282009-04-01T23:01:01ZShaun Walbridgewalbridge@nceas.ucsb.edu

This document is throwing and ACL error when trying to edit it:
http://knb.ecoinformatics.org/knb/metacat?action=read&qformat=nceas&docid=nceas.956.1

all auth.moderators have been added to the document, which is a change from the previous choice of only supporting the skin moderator. Either prevent these from being added by default, or remove the ACL error on creation (check the names against the auth.moderators list).
Bug #3886 (Resolved): Metacat perfomance analysishttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/38862009-03-12T23:40:23ZMichael Daigledaigle@nceas.ucsb.edu

Metacat is using a lot of memory on production and seems to use many db connections. We should monitor and determine why.

This ticket should be split into separate tickets if that makes sense.
Bug #3493 (Resolved): Add utilities module to fullclean/buildhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/34932008-09-29T16:31:37ZMichael Daigledaigle@nceas.ucsb.edu

Currently, the utilities module is managed separately from metacat in a metacat build. A fullclean in metacat build should clean the utilities directories and utilities should be checked out again.

M
Bug #3413 (Resolved): Sort order of returned resultsets needs to be standardhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/34132008-06-23T21:59:06ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

Metacat seems to sort the returned search results in different ways, which causes problems with paged query returns. Either the search results should always be sorted by docid or the search criteria should be included with the request.
Bug #3403 (Resolved): xmlns without a : is serialized incorrectlyhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/34032008-06-19T18:54:10ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

if you upload a document with an xmlns=xxx instead of xmlns:y=xxx to metacat, it uploads correctly, but when you read the document, metacat erroneously puts a ":" into the xmlns, which makes the document invalid.
Bug #3389 (Resolved): FGDC files do not go to the most recent version when the version number is ...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/33892008-06-10T15:53:55ZCallie Bowdishbowdish@nceas.ucsb.edu

FGDC files do not go to the most recent version when the version number is not included. They also do not include the download option if the version number is not in the path.

"Hi Aaron,

Thank you for submitting you ESA data registration. We are having some problems with the display of some of the characters in your abstract description. Currently the < > symbols need to be typed out as words and the symbols inside some of your parentheses are a problem. Can you please try retyping the parts that do not display well. Also, when you know what the complete text for your ESA paper citation is, please add that to the "Additional Information area". Feel free to let me know if you need any help or have any questions.

Callie
bowdish@nceas.ucsb.edu"
Bug #3019 (Resolved): Remove usage of .lastid files within the registryhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/30192007-11-29T00:47:22ZShaun Walbridgewalbridge@nceas.ucsb.edu

The registry currently relies on a .lastid file residing within the skin folder for each skin in use. This file is used to keep track of the last accession number used for insertion, but should be removed as it causes configuration issues: it sometimes must be manually seeded to be correct, it must be writable by the apache user, and it isn't thread-safe.

To replace the file, the server should always be queried through getLastDocid (getLastId in the Perl bindings) for the highest accession number within a given scope, and only use this canonical resource.
Bug #2847 (Resolved): returnfields need full xpath supporthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28472007-05-17T18:01:07ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

the current implementation of xpath used in metacat for the purpose of returning specific fields of an xml document within a returnset is not sufficient for highly structured documents. more or full xpath support needs to be implemented. currently, if you specify "/x/y" as a return field and the document is structured
<x>
<y>
<z>...</z>
<z>...</z>
</y>
</x>

metacat will return nothing. metacat seems to require that you specify the exact xpath to a node or it just returns null. This really doesn't work for any document that contains formatting (such as
, , , etc) within the xml.
Bug #2692 (Resolved): Use .jsp and reduce token usage in skinshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/26922006-12-07T00:38:40ZMatthew Perryperry@nceas.ucsb.edu

The following skins (esa, nrs, obfs, nceas) should be updated to use .jsp and replace use of tokens as much as possible. If runSpatialOption is false, don't display the map.
Bug #2370 (Resolved): add query and display support for BDP/FGDC metadatahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/23702006-02-25T07:43:51ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

Need to add support to query and display FGDC CSDGM metadata documents and NBII
BDP metadata documents.
