Redmine Bug #7021 (Closed): "Award number is missing." error from the registry when registry.show.funding...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70212016-05-06T18:53:56ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

When I attempted to submit metadata in the registry and have registry.show.funding=false in the metacatui.properties file, I still get an error message that the award number is missing. This is using the METACAT_2_6_0_ALPHA_2 tag.
Bug #6980 (Closed): Login form template is appended at the end of Confirmation template received ...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69802016-03-14T18:26:57ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

See screenshot attached.

The login form is returned by the registry along with the confirmation page during the insert stage of the registry (while logged in using auth token).
Bug #6955 (Closed): Error when submitting to registryhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69552016-01-28T18:35:28ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

I get the following error when trying to submit metadata to the dev.nceas registry: The docid is not valid since it is null or contians the white space(s).

Attached is a screenshot of the simple metadata I provided.
Bug #6917 (Closed): Error registering new accounthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69172015-12-18T19:15:41Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

On Ubuntu, trying to install the perl registry form the binary metacat release fails following the instructions provided in the Admin guide. This may be only a documentation issue, but in particular, we need to clarify how to install Metacat.pm. The Metacat.pm module is provided in the war file, but it is hidden away in the WEB-INF/lib/Metacat.pm. It is unclear how to install it form the documentation. In section 7.2.1, the documentation says to install it using the standard perl Make utilities, but the source code is not provided in the binary release, so this is not possible.
Bug #4862 (Closed): NCEAS registry form now creates access rules for extra partieshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/48622010-03-02T22:11:28ZJim Regetzregetz@nceas.ucsb.edu

In the past, EML documents created using the NCEAS registry form were written with the following automatic access rules:

ALLOW: [all] uid=nceasadmin,o=NCEAS,dc=ecoinformatics,dc=org
ALLOW: [read][write] [...dn of document submitter...]
ALLOW: [read] public

However, as of approx March 2009, it looks like the following extra access rules are also being added:

ALLOW: [all] cn=knb-prod,o=NCEAS,dc=ecoinformatics,dc=org
ALLOW: [all] cn=esa-moderators,dc=ecoinformatics,dc=org

This doesn't seem right. My guess is that the NCEAS registry has been polluted by rules that are supposed to apply to other registries?

AFAICT, the most recent package created with the original access rules is nceas.955.1, submitted on 26-Feb-2009. The first package created with the extra rules is nceas.956.1, submitted on 31-Mar-2009. Presumably a change was made sometime in between those dates.
Bug #4690 (Closed): register-dataset.cgi should have its permissions sethttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/46902010-01-21T22:23:56ZShaun Walbridgewalbridge@nceas.ucsb.edu

Currently, the registry script does not get the execute bit set when deployed from a WAR file -- either we should fix this by making the permissions stick, or if this isn't possible, provide a post-installation hook which performs the action. The registry on dev was down due to this issue, a chmod a+x did the trick.
Bug #4234 (Closed): Configuration of Registry in 1.9.1 has incorrect library pathshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/42342009-07-10T19:30:55ZChris Jonescjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

In trying to run the register-dataset.cgi application, errors are generated such as:

Can't locate auto/Metacat/autosplit.ix in @INC

from the AutoLoader.pm module.

As a temporary fix, I did the following:

1) mkdir WEB-INF/scripts/auto
2) mkdir WEB-INF/scripts/auto/Metacat
3) cp WEB_INF/scripts/autosplit.ix WEB-INF/scripts/auto/Metacat

and then add the following line to register-dataset.cgi:

use lib '../WEB-INF/scripts';

The autosplit issue was then resolved.
Bug #3911 (Closed): Old cgi-bin references are still being rendered by 1.8.1 registry codehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/39112009-03-20T22:15:31ZShaun Walbridgewalbridge@nceas.ucsb.edu

References to http://knb.ecoinformatics.org/cgi-bin/ should be redirected to their new and permanent home at /knb/cgi-bin/. This should be easy as the following rewrite rule:

Both of these data packages have many table attributes in the View Metadata section for the data table. When I try to print the metadata attributes for the table I am only able to print one page worth on Firefox. The total printed pages is 3 on Firefox.

Internet Explorer does not print the attributes at all, but just gives blank pages. I had tested printing attribute lists earlier on my test server and did not have this problem.
Bug #2813 (Closed): One Data Set Citation project id does not match with correct project idhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/28132007-04-09T18:49:00ZCallie Bowdishbowdish@nceas.ucsb.edu

This is the only data set I've noticed this happening with but I think it is worth noting. Perhaps just this individual data set needs to be fixed.

There should be an easy way for users to submit their email on a form on the KNB website, and have an email sent to them listing the account names affiliated with that email. This would prevent users from having to submit requests for lost or forgotten KNB account names to knb-help.
Bug #1311 (Closed): Registry: Links should open in a new window and windows should move to fronthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/13112004-02-02T23:56:57ZSaurabh Gargsgarg@nceas.ucsb.edu
