Redmine Story #6128 (Closed): Wait for MetacatUI 1.1.0 releasehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/61282013-10-05T00:32:06Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.eduTask #6115 (Resolved): ldapweb.cgi - default configuration should use o=unaffiliated https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/61152013-10-02T16:48:19Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

We are not yet ready to use ou=Account by default in our ldapweb skin configurations.
Task #6113 (Resolved): Getting "Bad header" error when similar accounts are presenthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/61132013-10-02T00:08:25Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

WHen I try to register with an account that has similar info as an existing one (email, last name etc) on dev2.nceas.ucsb.edu I see this in the apache error.log:

[Tue Oct 01 17:05:36 2013] [error] [client 128.111.220.249] malformed header from script. Bad header=
Similar accounts exist: ldapweb.cgi, referer: http://dev2.nceas.ucsb.edu/

and the response is an internal server error page.
Task #6098 (Closed): Make reCaptcha work with AJAX includehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/60982013-09-20T14:45:23Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Instead of having the perl code generate the catcha content, the template can include the ajax-style of constructing the captcha. This will allow us to use the same method when we include the registration form in the MetacatUI as well.

Possible names (please add more suggestions):
-metacat.war (would make <hostname>/metacat/metacat for the Metacat servlet which I think is very confusing)
-catalog.war
-repository.war
-m.war
-mc.war
Task #6067 (Closed): Update documentation to reflect the new metacatui theme mechanismhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/60672013-09-05T23:45:29Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.eduTask #6066 (Closed): Add email verification for new accountshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/60662013-09-05T23:43:09Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

We should send a temporary link to activate an account using on a randomly-generated key for their provisional account registration.

We should also remember to clear out the entries that have not been activated after X number of hours (maybe start with 36 hours?). Would be great if this were automated. Maybe ldapweb.cgi could just clear the old ones out whenever it is activated - won't necessarily be that often, but it will take care of old entries. Not a huge risk because the entries in the tmp subtree can't do anything.
Task #6065 (Closed): Add reCaptcha widget to initial registration pagehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/60652013-09-05T23:38:13Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.eduStory #6064 (Closed): Metacat bundle packaginghttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/60642013-09-05T23:34:39Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.eduStory #6063 (Closed): ldapweb.cgi enhancementshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/60632013-09-05T23:33:03Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.eduStory #6062 (Closed): Deprecate skin configurationhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/60622013-09-05T23:32:17Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.eduTask #3306 (Closed): NCEAS skin account creation needs more thoughthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/33062008-05-21T17:24:36ZCallie Bowdishbowdish@nceas.ucsb.edu

After creating an unaffiliated account on the NCEAS skin "Create a new account" link you get the message below. It does not give the option to go to the NCEAS online registry link.

Registration Succeeded!
You have successfully created an account on the Knowledge Network for Biocomplexity (KNB). You can use this account to share data with collaborators or with the general scientific community by downloading and installing the Morpho software package. Thank you for your interest in the KNB!

Also it does not have the NCEAS look and feel.

There is also the question of if we want NCEAS' user to use the unaffiliated account. Perhaps if they are registering in the NCEAS data repository and do not have an affiliation they should be having Nick create them an account.

There is a link to KNB and to the Morpho user guide on the text that appears after a successful account creation. We do not want NCEAS projects to use the KNB registration form, we want them to use the NCEAS Data Repository form.

I would like to see it use the NCEAS look and feel and include a link back to the NCEAS repository. I do not think we need the link to Morpho. But if we had it, it would be better if it went to the Morpho download site.
