Redmine Feature #7171 (Closed): Run MDQ suite on insert/updatehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71712017-01-05T00:40:26Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

We are looking to have Metacat handle quality reports by submitting new and updated metadata records to the MDQ engine and then storing the results (which will be indexed by existing Metacat index code).
Bug #7063 (Closed): Legacy Metacat "shortcut" url does not work if revision is omittedhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70632016-07-25T18:39:29Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

There was an NCEAS help ticket where the UI appeared but was not able to render the data. Looks like our handling of the shortcut URLs assumes full accession number (scope.docid.rev). We should handle cases where it is just scope.docid.
Bug #7038 (Closed): Current version of solr schema file isn't copied to the /var/metacat/solr-hom...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70382016-06-13T20:19:21ZJing Taotao@nceas.ucsb.edu

I found there was an error when Metacat indexed a gmd document. It turned out that the newest version of the schema file wasn't copied to /var/metacat/solr-home/conf.
Bug #7033 (Resolved): Add external link to FGDC stylesheethttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70332016-05-24T18:32:34Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Related to #7009 - I neglected to add support for EML to DC crosswalking.
Feature #7023 (Closed): Treat CHANGEPERMISSION the same as ALLhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70232016-05-11T17:39:57Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

To better conform with the DataONE access control model, we are going to treat the change permission the same as all in the Metacat API. Currently, the three permissions are handled independently and do not cascade like they do in DataONE.
With this change, higher permissions will implicitly allow lower (write implies read; changepermission implies write and read; all will still mean all three)
Feature #7009 (Closed): Add EML 2.1.1 handling to OAI-PMH providerhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70092016-04-12T14:58:35Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #6970 (Closed): MN.getPackage() omits data file extensionshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69702016-02-29T17:24:03Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Erica Johns at Cornell reports that downloaded zip files do not have file extensions for the data files within the bagIt contents. http://support.nceas.ucsb.edu/rt/Ticket/Display.html?id=12349

I looked at the MN.getPackage() method and we are using the "Entity Name" rather than "Object Name" from the EML record. The latter usually has the original filename (with extension) whereas the former does not.

We have two options:
- continue to use the Entity Name and look up the file extension using the SM.formatId of the data
- switch to use Object Name
Bug #6938 (Closed): MNStorage.create() doesn't set sysmeta "authoritativeMemberNode" field if not...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69382016-01-12T18:14:14ZPeter Slaughterslaughter@nceas.ucsb.edu

If authoritativeMemberNode element is not set in the sysmeta submitted with an object during create() the MN doesn't set it, leading to the object or metadata not being able to be updated.
This is the case with https://mn-stage-ucsb-2.test.dataone.org/knb/d1/mn/v2/meta/urn:uuid:c8b42a90-7dd7-4dcc-a005-84a5cd26354c , which can't be updated or have it's sysmeta
updated. When this is attempted, the error is printed:

Error updating urn:uuid:c8b42a90-7dd7-4dcc-a005-84a5cd26354c: Coudn't find the authoritative member node in the system metadata associated with the pid urn:uuid:c8b42a90-7dd7-4dcc-a005-84a5cd26354c
Task #6937 (Closed): Remove ant/source instructions for harvester documentationhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69372016-01-11T17:49:07Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

We rarely have users deploying Metacat from source and should remove references to that from the harvester configuration and running documentation.
Bug #6936 (Closed): Harvester registration login redirects to incorrect locationhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69362016-01-11T17:47:48Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

David Blankman reported this for Metacat 2.4.3.

After a successful login using the default skin HarvestRegistrationLogin, one is returned to a page without the the context, for example, data.lter-europe.net/harvestRegistration rather than the correct URL: data.lter-europe.net/knb/harvestRegistration

entryForm.tmpl needs to be reconfigured because it has someplaces with skin
names have to be hard coded into it.
(From Andrea)

1) Instead of ZIP it should say “Postal Code” because I don’t think they are
called zip codes in all countries.
2) In the Data Repository Guide/Info page, “Data Set Abstract” should be in
caps and in blue like the other headings because it is its own section in the
repository form, just as the other headings in caps and in blue are also their
own section in the repository form.

3) The following are typos and grammatical problems found in the Data
Repository Guide/Info page:
• Meterological – should be Meteorological
• …e.g Principal Investigator. – should be e.g. Principal Investigator
• If your dataset is open-ended, leave the ending date open, provide no
ending date at all. – should be …leave the ending date open (provide no ending
date at all).
• Enter both lat./long pairs to indicate... – should be Enter both
lat./long. pairs…
• You can add mutliple taxa to the list – should be multiple
• …method (e.g., Zooplankton abundance using radial quadrat
subsampling). – should be sub-sampling
• This guide provides information and help how to fill in the NCEAS Data
Registry Form. – should be …information and help on how to…
Bug #1302 (Resolved): Changes in links to the guide and updating the guidehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/13022004-02-02T23:13:45ZSaurabh Gargsgarg@nceas.ucsb.edu

-> The linsk to the guide need to be changed so that it is easier to understand
that they are links. Or a help icon can be added next to the heading and make
the icon a link instead of making the heading a link

-> Also the guide is out of date and needs to be updated for eml2.
