Redmine Bug #6890 (Resolved): search.test.dataone.org proxy not handling orcid.org accountshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/68902015-12-01T01:29:58Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

When viewing an http://orcid.org account on the profile page, there is an error looking up the account details.

https://search.test.dataone.org/#profile/http://sandbox.orcid.org/0000-0003-2650-9537

I can call the cn-sandbox-2 endpoint successfully (directly):

https://cn-sandbox-2.test.dataone.org/cn/v2/accounts/http%3A%2F%2Fsandbox.orcid.org%2F0000-0003-2650-9537

But going though the search.test.dataone.org proxy results in the error.

I added the ability for MetacatUI to check the authentication status of the user through CILogon as well as the traditional Metacat api. For the DataONE theme (and all others, really) we should make sure that those user DNs are handled correctly when clicking the "my packages" button that sets a search model for the user DN and navigates them to the #data view. In my recent test, I was redirected, but did not see the "Me" badge in the search filters even though it was indeed being applied.
Feature #6688 (Resolved): Add "sign in" button to DataONE themehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/66882015-03-09T15:12:13Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

When I log in to the CN portal and then search that CN for packages I can see the user icon with my CILogon DN and "my packages" and "logout" options. This is great! But we should have a button for signing in so users don't have to know where to go. We can start with a url like this:
https://cn-sandbox-2.test.dataone.org/portal/startRequest?target=/portal/account.jsp

But instead use an absolute URL for "target" param to direct them back to the MetacatUI page they started from when they have finished authenticating.
Bug #6667 (Closed): My Packages link uses incorrect query formathttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/66672015-02-17T16:18:48Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

I was looking into a help request about a user's packages not showing up for her, turns out the query has some incorrectly placed escaped quotes around the rightsHolder portion clause.

Here's an example:

https://knb.ecoinformatics.org/knb/d1/mn/v1/query/solr/fl=id,title,origin,pubDate,dateUploaded,abstract,resourceMap,beginDate,endDate,read_count_i,geohash_9,northBoundCoord,southBoundCoord,eastBoundCoord,westBoundCoord&q=+-obsoletedBy:*+%22%2BrightsHolder%3Auid%3Dkepler%2Co%3Dunaffiliated%2Cdc%3Decoinformatics%2Cdc%3Dorg%22+formatType:METADATA&sort=dateUploaded+desc&wt=json&rows=25&start=0&facet=true&facet.sort=index&facet.field=keywords&facet.field=geohash_1&facet.field=geohash_2&facet.field=geohash_3&facet.field=geohash_4&facet.field=geohash_5&facet.field=geohash_6&facet.field=geohash_7&facet.field=geohash_8&facet.field=geohash_9&facet.mincount=1&facet.limit=-1?start=0

The important bit is:

\"+rightsHolder:uid=sjryan3,o=unaffiliated,dc=ecoinformatics,dc=org\"

The quotes should only surround the value, not the field and value.
Bug #6611 (Resolved): Make sure #signup view works with Windows 7+Mozilla.https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/66112014-10-13T16:28:56Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #6454 (Resolved): Windows 7 Enterprise 64 rendering issuehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/64542014-03-11T21:47:49Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

In the registry page, there are "?" links that show a modal window -- that content could use some css attention on the headers.
Looking at the EML docs via the Metacat UI, there are still headers that are placed oddly. I think this stems from padding/margin/top properties that are being used to make scrolling to anchors in other pages work with our header height. Unfortunately, it pushes these headers to the wrong location -- hiding content and making it hard to tell which header goes with which item in the table.

At one point the CSS correctly included padding for the anchors that get scrolled to, but it looks like the problem came back. In this example you can see that the
is hidden by the header:
http://knb.ecoinformatics.org/m/#about/understanding-metadata
