Redmine Bug #7089 (Resolved): Constant refreshing of MetacatUI when filling out submission formhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70892016-08-22T19:22:22ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

Reported by a user from Arctic Data Center
Bug #7082 (Resolved): Add warning message when navigating away from the registry pagehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70822016-08-08T19:18:47ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #7080 (Resolved): Links to obsolete parent packages show in the Metadata Viewhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70802016-08-04T16:48:51ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

The Metadata View should only give a link to the most recent parent package.

Example: https://arcticdata.io/catalog/#view/resource_map_doi:10.18739/A2WS86
Bug #7079 (Rejected): Group UI allows invalid entry causing Identity ServiceFailurehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70792016-08-03T18:43:32ZChris Jonescjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

When adding users to a Group in the
MetacatUI -> My Profile -> Settings -> Groups
web form, the form allows users to be added to the group that don't exist in the Accounts Registry. We need to validate the member DN prior to calling PUT /cn/v2/groups so an invalid entry doesn't get created by the CNIdentityLDAPImpl service.

Unfortunately, once a
uniqueMember
is is created in the group in LDAP, this causes the Accounts Registry service to throw a
500 ServiceFailure
, so all other authenticated interactions with the CN fail, affecting all users. I'll add a ticket in the d1_identity_manager project to address this from the server side. See https://redmine.dataone.org/issues/7857

By removing the bogus
uniqueMember
entry in LDAP, the Accounts Registry service worked fine again.
Feature #7073 (Resolved): Improve the Data Attribute tooltip descriptionhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70732016-07-27T19:40:02ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

Some users during a UX test did not understand what a data attribute was, and they reported that the description in the tooltip is not very helpful.
Feature #7070 (Resolved): Add description to the Summary page, under the titlehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70702016-07-27T19:30:14ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

During a UX test, users needed more context for the page
Bug #7069 (Resolved): Link the member node logo in the search results list to the member node pro...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70692016-07-27T19:29:30ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #7068 (Resolved): Add "My groups" to the user dropdown listhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70682016-07-27T19:28:57ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #7067 (Resolved): Change the "Apps" link text under profile settingshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70672016-07-27T19:28:13ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

In a recent UX report, most users did not understand what Apps meant and didn't see the connection between the "App" text and the content on that settings panel
Bug #7065 (Resolved): Improve the CILogon login button layouthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70652016-07-27T19:09:11ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

During a recent UX test, some users thought the CILogon options listed underneath the Sign In button were not associated with the Sign In button. Some users tried to click on the Google logo.
Bug #7064 (Resolved): "Create Group" link in the user profile does not workhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70642016-07-27T19:01:35ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduFeature #7039 (Closed): During Registry data upload, provide visual progress feedbackhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70392016-06-23T15:48:28ZChris Jonescjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

When a user uploads larger files, they currently only see the spinner to indicate 'something is happening'. Progress is indicated with a progress bar after the confirm stage, but not before, when files are actually being updated. Provide a progress bar and current/total bytes uploaded during the initial insert phase too.
Task #6946 (Resolved): Create mockup of the services display in metadata and search result viewshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69462016-01-20T17:38:24ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

The services will be displayed in three locations:

- The Metadata View for data sets with objects loosely coupled to a service
- The Metadata View for the service itself
- The SearchResult views for loosely coupled services - probably the only difference will be an icon indicating that search result is a service
Feature #6918 (Rejected): Consider most recent upload date as default year in max sliderhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/69182015-12-31T18:27:47ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

The year slider is set up now to display the data coverage years as the default minimum and maximum values. This is causing an issue where the slider maximum may be lower than the latest upload year. (e.g. all datasets have coverage before 2014, but there are uploads from 2015, so the slider maximum was 2014). The sliders can still be manually increased, but for users that just click the checkboxes and don't change the sliders, the default search may be exclusive to recent uploads.
Task #5984 (Resolved): Create Lab/Group/Org view of the systemhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/59842013-05-25T01:10:53ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu
