Redmine Bug #7162 (New): Packages with at least one private object can't be downloadedhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71622016-11-30T14:50:30ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

Even if the resource map itself and the metadata is accessible.

We should hide the Download All button for these packages.
Bug #7104 (New): Navigating directly to a dataset #view page using a data pid sometimes goes to a...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71042016-09-28T19:55:52ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

Example: df35d.94.5 in GOA

The message that a newer versions appears so it is not completely broken, but a user would reasonably expect to be taken to the most recent version right away.
Bug #7011 (New): Bar labels "Time period of data" graph on #profile is cut offhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70112016-04-12T23:35:17ZBryce Mecummecum@nceas.ucsb.edu

If I visit the arctic-data-admins profile on arcticdata.io, https://arcticdata.io/catalog/#profile/CN=arctic-data-admins,DC=dataone,DC=org, the number (currently 3000) above the far-right bar is cut off. See attachment. I expected the number to not be cut off.

I have reproduced this on Chrome and Safari on Mac OS 10.11.4
Feature #6861 (New): Indicate which member nodes have no matches for the given searchhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/68612015-10-27T21:25:59ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduFeature #6859 (New): Add link to user's profile from Metadata Viewhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/68592015-10-19T23:56:48ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #6858 (New): Allow users to save their search via a bookmarkable/sharable linkhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/68582015-10-19T17:56:48ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

The DataCatalogView already supports using a custom query in the URL - we need to expose this to the user so they can save or share their search
Bug #6857 (New): Make COINS work with Chrome (and other browser) extensionshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/68572015-10-19T17:54:45ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

browser plug-ins that check for COINS will check upon initial page load only. This causes a problem with MetacatUI which adds the COINS after the initial page load via Javascript. We should create a mechanism for users to get their citation info from the search page using their browser plug-in -- possibly adding a button that will open a new tab/window with the COINS already loaded?
Feature #6849 (New): Create new layout for displaying 'other entities'https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/68492015-10-05T23:08:48ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

Based on feedback and my own suspicions, the "Other Entity" parts of EML are not intuitively displayed in MetacatUI. There are details about the files that don't need to be displayed at first glance - such as "Externally Defined Format" etc. (can be hidden behind a "More info" link)
The term "Other Entity" may be familiar to those already familiar with EML, but otherwise I don't think users understand it.
Feature #6788 (New): Determine geohash level for map tiles before sending the Solr queryhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/67882015-06-26T17:51:18ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

So that only the necessary geohash level facets will be returned, increasing response time
Bug #6718 (New): Consider not mapping search reuslts with a 0,0,0,0 bounding boxhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/67182015-04-09T16:12:22ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

It is unlikely that these metadata docs are legitimately documenting data about that geolocation. It is usually the case that these datasets are global or the metadata creator was using it as an "N/A" entry.

Global datasets will need to be represented on the map or in the search results in a different way.
Feature #6705 (New): Find mapped identities when doing actions involving authenticationhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/67052015-04-01T01:26:58ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduFeature #6628 (New): Add copy/paste R and Matlab code snippet for downloading a DataONE packagehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/66282014-11-24T20:17:05ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

In the Metadata View, add a small textbox where the user can copy/paste R code that will download the current package from DataONE.
Feature #6229 (New): Make results list resizeable via jQueryUI Resizeable functionalityhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/62292013-11-20T17:44:07ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduFeature #6032 (In Progress): Add schema.org dataset annotations to dataset viewshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/60322013-07-09T20:10:20ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

The current view page is envisioned as an HTML representation of a data set. Adding in RDFa tags using the schema.org datasets extension will allow machine parsers to trace their way back to the machine-readable versions of the datasets, including the direct download links. Will need to resolve the difference between a dcat:Dataset and an OAI-ORE ResourceMap-based package as we've defined in DataONE.
