Redmine Bug #7180 (Rejected): name from ORCID incorrectly parsedhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71802017-04-06T22:42:50ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

When I logged into the KNB (via dev.nceas.ucsb.edu) for the first time with ORCID, it retrieved my name for my profile, but parsed it incorrectly, putting my surname as "B. Jones", rather than correctly identifying my middle initial in the name,. See the attached screenshot. In addition my email address was not extracted from ORCID, which would have been good.
Bug #7179 (Resolved): incorrect password on KNB login causes tomcat errorhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71792017-04-06T22:39:22ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

If I (purposefully) give an incorrect error in logging in with my LDAP DN, I get a low-level tomcat error instead of an error that lets me try again.
Bug #7158 (Resolved): "Not found" message does not display in the Metadata Viewhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71582016-11-18T16:31:31ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #7155 (Resolved): "Go" button for the "Jump To" field only submits after two clickshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71552016-11-10T15:31:23ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #7154 (Rejected): NSF Award lookup's tooltip persists after you leave the pagehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71542016-11-10T15:29:37ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #7153 (Resolved): MetacatUI doesn't render private archived content correctlyhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/71532016-11-04T21:34:08ZChris Jonescjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

When trying to view a metadata document that has been archived with its direct
#view
URL, MetacatUI fails because it only checks to see if the content is in the Solr index. I dont know if this is limited to private content, or if it's the same behavior for public content. Either way, when
#view/{pid}
is accessed, we need to 1) query Solr for the record (which we do), then if nothing is found, we need to see if the object is archived via
/meta
. If it is, and access is granted, we need to call the view service to render the science metadata.

The data tem interns have been running into this, and so I checked it out with this example:

https://arcticdata.io/catalog/#view/urn:uuid:15b0247a-b681-464f-bed2-9229cc686af8

When passing the token in to
/meta
or
/view
, getting the system metadata or the XSLT'd content works fine:

curl -H "Authorization: Bearer ${token}" "https://arcticdata.io/metacat/d1/mn/v2/views/metacatui/urn:uuid:15b0247a-b681-464f-bed2-9229cc686af8"
and
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer ${token}" "https://arcticdata.io/metacat/d1/mn/v2/meta/urn:uuid:15b0247a-b681-464f-bed2-9229cc686af8"

I've attached an imagine showing that the data table icon (data-table.png) is truncated in the search results. I expected the image to not be truncated.

Reproduced only on my copy of Chrome, 53.0.2785.143 (64-bit). Looks fine in Firefox and Safari.
I was looking at the Uploads graph on the #profile page, https://search.dataone.org/#profile, and noticed the query for it filters out obsoleted objects (-obsoletedBy:*). The text caption, however, reads "Only the first version of each file is counted.". I would have expected the query to use -obsoletes* in order to filter to just the first version of each revision chain.
Since we are creating lots of metadata documents with empty resource maps for the Arctic Data Center.
Bug #7085 (Resolved): Metadata View should show a link to the newest readable version of a datasethttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/70852016-08-16T18:54:28ZLauren Walkerwalker@nceas.ucsb.edu

Right now the metadata view will just check is the newest version is readable by the current user, and if not, won't display a "newer version" link. The UI needs to make sure there isn't a newer (even if obsoleted) version that the user is authorized to read.
