Redmine Bug #426 (Resolved): data package displays wrong infohttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/4262002-02-14T18:22:29ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

When a data package is opened in the Data Package Editor, incorect information
is displayed for some of the originators. In particular, metadata documents
with originators that have only an "organizationName" field (ie, no
individualName) incorrectly display the individualName and address and other
fields from the previous originator. It appears that a data structure is not
being initialized when looping through the originators, so originator fields
from previous originators are retained when displaying an originator that did
not have that field.

An example of the problem can be seen by searching for and viewing the document
'nrs.3.2'.
Bug #423 (Resolved): Change Default to Use TextImport Wizardhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/4232002-02-13T21:42:40ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

requested by REOT group

Currently the DataPackage Wizard has the default "Manually enter data file
descriptions". Automatic option almost always used by REOT.
Bug #416 (Resolved): editor bug - empty branches not being trimmed properlyhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/4162002-02-08T16:43:39ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

in eml-attribute, if there is no data in the attributeDomain element (i.e. no
subnodes have any text, then only the <attributeDomain> tag is saved with no
children. This results in an invalid document.
Bug #415 (Resolved): Bug in editor creates invalide docs(rngdates)https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/4152002-02-08T16:40:15ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

In the temporalCov element of eml-dataset, the choices under the "rngdates"
choice are not displayed and saved properly. This results in an invalid document.

The problem is the lack of a SEQUENCE grouping which is incorrectly being dropped.
Bug #402 (Resolved): can't update data files in current Morpho UIhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/4022002-01-23T16:50:05ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

Joel Gramling reports:
Additionally, I haven't figured out if you can add more data to a table once you
have already established the descriptions or if you have to reload updated
datasets as new ones.

This is indeed a problem. Right now you can add a new data table (with
metadata), and you can associate a data table with an existing set of metadata,
but there is no way to change an existing table. Need to be able to change the
data file associated with the data set (which creates a new revision, but
doesn't delete the old!). Sometimes this will require a change in the metadata
as well (ie, to update coverage info), while other times no change in metadata
will be needed other than to associate the new entity & file.
Bug #399 (Resolved): Editor problem with repeated elementshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3992002-01-15T04:55:21ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

When elements are repeated (eg the attribute element in eml-attribute) and
subelements are repeated, it turns out that entering a text value for one
element causes all the duplicate elements to have the same value!
Bug #397 (Resolved): editor resizes very slowlyhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3972002-01-11T19:45:37ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

If you resize the editor screen, it takes a very long time to redraw. It seems
like it is doing the entire dtd parse over again. I don't know if that is
really the case but the amount of time it takes to resize is roughly
proportional to the time it originally takes to open. it would be nice if you
could quickly resize the window to meet your needs.
Bug #389 (Resolved): editable grid confusing in text import wizardhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3892002-01-11T18:44:04ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

The grid boxes in the text import wizard should not allow the user to alter the
text within them. this is confusing because it makes it seem like you are
editing the data when in fact, you are not. The entire grid should be made
uneditable.
Bug #388 (Closed): Column Definition field header in wrong placehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3882002-01-11T18:41:52ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

The Column Definition label in the Text Import Wizard shows up below the text
field instead of to the side of it or above it like the other fields. this is
confusing. Also, Column Definition is a required field in EML but the wizard
does not show that this needs to be filled in. The error message that comes up
if you continue with the wizard doesn't tell you which field needs to be filled
in. Perhaps, in keeping with the rest of the wizard, the label for the text box
should be red.
Bug #385 (Resolved): Editor Failure to save metadata for some nodeshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3852001-12-21T21:15:13ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

Editor fails to save data added to geographic coverage and taxonomic coverage
nodes in eml-dataset documents, although it does save data added to other elements!
Bug #376 (Resolved): Allow the user to enter code definitionshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3762001-12-18T01:16:15ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

The code definitions in enumeratedDomain are blank, empty elements. The
wizard should prompt the user to defineeach code or provide a source if they
choose to include the enumerated domain in the output. In no case should empty
elements be output.
A fix will require a new input interface.
Bug #351 (Resolved): access control for added data&metadatahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3512001-11-30T17:10:39ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

When additional data and associated metadata is added to a package,
access-contol information for the newly added documents is not also added
Bug #320 (Resolved): all eml literature objects displayed as data packageshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3202001-11-06T19:48:33ZJames Bruntjbrunt@lternet.edu

On the primary morpho screen that displays data packages - when I created eml
literature citations to associate with my data sets they show up as data
packages - they also will not open from that screen.

James
Bug #314 (Resolved): Adding a new software eml doc to a package causes error in My Data listhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3142001-10-31T22:59:08ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

adding a eml-software doc to an existing package results in a new entry in the
MyData results list (at least when operating only locally). Apparently, the
document is mistaken for a new data package. (May also occur for other data
types.) The new document is also correctly added to the triples of the original
package.
Bug #310 (Resolved): adding a description file throws and addDataFile exceptionhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3102001-10-26T17:39:47ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

When trying to add an existing description through the add new wizard, morpho throws an exception saying that it cannot add a new data file. The wrong method (MetacatDataStore.newDataFile) is called instead of MetacatDataStore.newFile.
