Redmine Bug #934 (Resolved): attribute editing window doesn't change domain properlyhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/9342003-01-08T00:36:23ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

Dan,

Another new bug that needs to be fixed for the 1.3 release. When one chooses to
add a new column in an existing data table, the window that is used for
collecting the attribute metadata displays a table for entering enumerated
values even if the radio button is set to 'Text' or 'Numeric'. This is a
problem. Instead, it should change fields as the window in the TextImport
wizard does to reflect the different fields that are needed for the various
types of domains.

Thanks,
Matt
Bug #922 (Resolved): Back Button problems in the TextImportWizardhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/9222002-12-05T00:41:52ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

Use of back button reportedly (Chad) messes up display in TextIMportWizard. Need
to investigate and fix.
Bug #921 (Resolved): problem with LockedPanel display in editorhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/9212002-12-05T00:40:31ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

The LockedPanel class is used as a plugin in the xml editor for items that
should not be editable. This plugin does not display help properly and is sized
incorrectly.
Bug #658 (Resolved): Data Package Summary sometimes too longhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/6582002-10-29T18:45:15ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

The data package summmary at the top of package screen can be so long as to
cause an overflow of the first line to the second. Need to add code to truncate
the first line and avoid overflow so tha format is not degraded.

Suggest determining legth of text and using ellipses (...) if the string is to
long for the window size.
Bug #647 (Resolved): fix access control triples in nrs and obfs packageshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/6472002-10-23T22:49:47ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

Some current packages fail to provide a triple link for the access control
document itself, so nobody but the owner has access to that document. Need to
add this and check that the load-dataset.cgi script is creating it properly.
Bug #646 (Resolved): Window menu items need more specific nameshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/6462002-10-23T22:45:05ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

The item added to the list that appears in the Windows menu should have more
specific names, especially for dataset display windows. ID or name should be
added to item text.
Bug #640 (Resolved): Problem trying to download very large data setshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/6402002-10-18T17:58:10ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

Chris Jones reports that attempts to move very large data files from Metacat to
Morpho often apparently 'hang' after several hundred kilobytes has been transferred.
Bug #609 (Resolved): Test Morpho to insure it runs under Java 1.3 (Mac OS X)https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/6092002-09-30T20:37:53ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

Make sure that Morpho runs on the Macintosh platform under OS X (i.e. Java 1.3).
Bug #551 (Resolved): help system improvementshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/5512002-07-09T19:37:11ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

The REOT group identifed some upgrades to the help system in Morpho as being
high priority. In particular, they wanted to see a searchable help system and
an index. This should include both the morpho documentation and the EML
documentation. We should also be sure thatthe EML documentation is available
from within Morpho, both in the editing environments (e.g., package wizard,
editor, Jalama) and as a separate section in the help menu.
Bug #535 (Resolved): screenshots and UML design for new UIhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/5352002-06-13T16:47:58ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

Need to develop a set of screenshots that prototype the new UI design and the
possible flows among the pages in order to decide how to best arrange things
before developing code for the system. This should include shots of the new
packe display window in its "spreadheet" format, plus screenshots of the new
File|Open dialog.

A flow diagram showing the allowable navigation paths through the application UI
would also be useful.

Need to develop a UML model that intelligently represents the desired UI
functionality before developing code to implement the new UI.
Bug #529 (Resolved): Status Bar SSL icon hidden in Mac OSXhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/5292002-06-12T00:41:53ZMatthew Brookebrooke@nceas.ucsb.edu

Mac OSX draws a resize corner over the right-most icon on the status bar
(currently the "SSL" status icon. Need to insert a spacer at this end to move
icon to left, away from the corner.
Bug #459 (Resolved): extend Wizard actions of TextImport Wizardhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/4592002-04-06T19:32:34ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

Currently, TextImportWizard requires user to click on each column in a table and
then enter metadata for the attribute represented by that column. Stepping
through each column should be more automatic; i.e. perhaps each of the columns
should be a separate 'step' in the wizard process.
Bug #418 (Resolved): need for attributenames at higher level in editor treehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/4182002-02-08T17:18:45ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

When an eml-attribute document is displayed in the Morpho editor, one just sees
a number of identical "attribute" nodes (when the tree is open to 2 levels). It
has been suggested that the names of the attributes should be displayed in the
tree to differentiate between element.

The attribute names will appear, of course, when the node is expanded, but one
cannot see a list of all the attributes names together.

Displaying the names would be useful for the user, but the tree would then not
mirror the xml structure and/or would be specific for certain doc types. Do we
consider this enhancement?
Bug #393 (Resolved): editor allows you to save an invalid document without promptinghttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/3932002-01-11T19:16:27ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

If you neglect to fill out a required element in a document in the editor, the
editor does not inform you of that when you click the save button. it should
give you a chance to go back and fix your error or let you tell it to save
anyways.
Bug #217 (Resolved): need simple spatial searchhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/2172001-04-10T00:26:33ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

Need to complete the spatial search screen for morpho. Needs to able to be
combined with others searches, so depends on some of the features described in
Bug 214.
