Redmine Bug #2208 (Resolved): tree editor checks spatialVector after editing any field in data packages c...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/22082005-09-28T17:33:56ZWill Tyburczytyburczy@nceas.ucsb.edu

When editing a package in tree editor, if a user clicks "show all", edits any
field, and then either clicks "trim", selects another field, or clicks anywhere
in the tree, the "spatialVector" element is erroneously checked. This only
happens in data packages which contain dataTable elements.
Bug #2162 (Resolved): eml versions and dateTimeDomain requirementshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/21622005-07-18T21:34:46ZCallie Bowdishbowdish@nceas.ucsb.edu

following error generated: cvc-complex-type.2.3: Element 'dateTimeDomain' must
have no character [children], because the types content type is element-only.

Conversation regarding the error having to do with two differing eml-versions
problem comes when someone adds a datatable to eml-2.0.0 - doesnt specify the
bounds and then opens the document in tree editor
<sid> and the tree editor enforces eml-2.0.0
<sid> and hence looks for the bound info
<sid> which is what happened in Callie's case
<sid> Mr. EML-2.0.1 agrees with you - whereas Mr. EML-2.0.0 doesnt
<vero> well since 2.0.1 is what we're using now...
<sid> Callie - add these to the list of things which will hopefully be fixed in
Morpho1.6.0 R C2

regarding the dateTimeDomain attribute and inside the bound tags you shud have
minimum and maximum

<sid> that error was probably that dateTimeDoamin cant be trimmed because it is
required
<vero> it's not required in the NDPW
<vero> is it?
Bug #2131 (Resolved): Geographic coverage screen in dpw not saving coordinateshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/21312005-06-17T22:54:59ZSaurabh Gargsgarg@nceas.ucsb.edu

Following bugs were reported by Veronique in Geographic Coverage screen

1. Morpho accepted the coordinates i entered in the NDPW, but when i
clicked "edit" in the NDPW to edit the coordinates, the coordinates were reset
to 45.0 N, 45.0 S, 90.0 W, 90.0 E.

2. i clicked on edit, but then clicked on cancel. the coordinates i had entered
were displayed in the NDPW. i finished the NDPW and the dp opened: the
coordinates that were displayed were
West: -90.0 degrees
East: 90.0 degrees
North: 45.0 degrees
South: -45.0 degrees,
not the coordinates i had entered (even though i clicked on cancel for editing)
Bug #2103 (Resolved): Morpho changes the value in geographic coverage...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/21032005-06-09T17:31:09ZSaurabh Gargsgarg@nceas.ucsb.edu

Bug reported by Kristin Vanderbilt:

I’m trying to enter a point location for geographic coverage using Morpho.
When I type 106.6914 into the longitude field, Morpho changes the number to
106.5314. I’ve tried doing this before and have had the same problem. How
do I enter coordinates and not have Morpho change what I entered?

Thanks,
Kristin
Bug #2097 (Resolved): Import Taxon Information from Data Tablehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/20972005-06-01T18:19:54ZVeronique Connollyconnolly@nceas.ucsb.edu

When you import taxonomic information as a data table, the information doesn't
get saved in the data package:

I went to "Taxonomic coverage" under the documentation menu, clicked on the
"Import Taxon Information from Data table" link, selected a column, chose
"species" as the taxon category and clicked OK. The first row of the table
under "Enter information about Taxonomic Coverage" had this information:

Rank: Genus; Name: blank (empty cell); Rank: Species; Name: blank (empty cell)

The following rows had the information I imported from the data table. When I
clicked on OK and went back to the dp, the taxonomic information I had just
imported didn't appear in the Data Package Documentation panel.

Having the first row of the "Enter information about Taxonomic Coverage" table
empty seems to be causing this problem because if you manually enter info in
this row using the Add button and then import info from a data table, all of the
info gets saved and appears in the Data Package Documentation panel.
Bug #2096 (Resolved): Not all elements of attribute module displayed in tree editorhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/20962005-05-31T17:15:07ZVeronique Connollyconnolly@nceas.ucsb.edu

Let's say you have a data package that contains a data table which in turn
contains several attributes. In the tree editor, when you click “Show all”, nine
elements of the attribute module (dataTable/attributeList) appear for the first
attribute of the table (attributeName, attributeLabel, attributeDefinition,
storageType, measurementScale, missingValueCode, accuracy, coverage, method),
but only four elements appear for the other attributes (attributeName,
attributeLabel, attributeDefinition, measurementScale). All elements should
appear for all attributes.

When there are several tables in the data package, only the first data table
displays the nine elements for the first attribute; the other tables display
only the four elements mentioned above for all attributes.
Bug #2001 (Resolved): Add storage type field to Text Import Wizardhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/20012005-03-02T23:57:18ZVeronique Connollyconnolly@nceas.ucsb.edu

In the Text Import Wizard, we need to add two new fields: Storage Type System
and Storage type.
Bug #1774 (Resolved): How to delete saved searches and old profiles should be explicithttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/17742004-11-19T00:41:10ZAndrea Andreachadden@nceas.ucsb.edu

Veronique noted that it would be helpful to the user if it were clear how to
delete an old profile, and also how to delete saved searches they no longer
want.
Bug #1772 (Resolved): User guide needs to be updatedhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/17722004-11-19T00:30:17ZAndrea Andreachadden@nceas.ucsb.edu

While preparing for the release of Morpho 1.5.1, the user guide had to be
finished (by Andrea) about a week before the release so that it could be
incorporated into Morpho (by the developers). There were changes made to Morpho
during that last week that are not reflected in the user guide, and therefore
the user guide needs to be updated at some point.
One example: one of the screen shots shows the "Update" and "Cancel" buttons,
which used to be part of the data table display, but which were eliminated in
1.5.1.
Bug #1520 (Resolved): taxo coverage data entry errorhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/15202004-04-19T17:47:56ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

when you change the rank in the taxo table in the dpw then hit tab to the name
field, you get the following error, no matter what you enter in the rank:

Error in the entry! The entered taxon rank is already present in the taxonomic
hierarchy.
Bug #1515 (Resolved): taxon dialog checks input but allows invalid inputhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/15152004-04-19T16:43:11ZChad Berkleyberkley@nceas.ucsb.edu

I pasted the text

<
&
"
'

into a taxon name. it told me that was invalid input and that i needed to use
only letters or numbers, but then i just left the text there and it let me
continue. It probably should stop me from going on with those chars in the field.
Bug #1504 (Resolved): Intermittant problem: DPW Finish Wizard / Enter New Tablehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/15042004-04-16T00:27:24ZRick Reevesreeves@nceas.ucsb.edu

When adding a new data package with DPW, I get to the last screen,
where I can click 'Click to finish wizard and add new data table'.
Out of five tests, on two tests clicking this closes the wizard and
returns me to the main Morpho screen, and the data I had entered
into the DPW is lost. Three times, things worked and I successfully
entered a table.
Bug #1488 (Resolved): Taxon page citations list surrogates not updated to reflect remote referenc...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/14882004-04-15T17:39:43ZMatthew Brookebrooke@nceas.ucsb.edu

0) Open the datapkg wizard. enter a creator and a contact. Advance to the
taxonomic coverage page, then:

1) on the Taxon page, and click add to add a citation in the list at the bottom

2) on the citation page, click "add" to add a creator, and in the party dialog,
select a reference from the dropdown list (for example, the contact you entered
earlier). click OK to close the party dialog

3) click OK to close the citation dialog

4) look at the surrogate entry for the party in the citations list at the bottom
of the taxon page - remember its value.

5) use the back button to go back to the contact page, and edit the contact that
you referenced above. Hit OK

6) use the next button to get to the taxon page again. look at the surrogate
entry for the party in the citations list at the bottom of the taxon page -

NOTE that it hasn't changed to reflect the values you just edited. This is
the bug - basically, need to refresh this list in the onLoad() method for this
page. **

7) if you select the citation and hit edit, the parties list on the citation
page does have the updated values - so this part is fine
Bug #1337 (Resolved): better handling of 'references' in XML editorhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/13372004-02-09T19:08:18ZDan Higginshiggins@nceas.ucsb.edu

The display and handling of eml2 'references' node in the XML editor is
confusing. Display should automatically look up 'references' (i.e. like a macro)
and show the referenced information. CHOICEs between data and 'references' would
then not be shown in the tree, simplifying display.
Bug #1241 (Resolved): Search Results Data/Nodata icons not working for EML2https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/12412003-12-24T18:56:17ZMatthew Brookebrooke@nceas.ucsb.edu

In the search results dialog, the icons on the left showing "has data" (red
icon) or "description only" (blue icon) always show blue for eml2 packages, even
if they have data. This is because the code in ResultSet.java is still
Beta6-specific.

Also need to check other classes in query package to ensure no beta 6 dependencies

Suggested fix:

1) pull this eml-verion-specific code into the eml-verion-specific datapackage
object, and access it via a static method (public static boolean hasData, so an
entire datapackage doesn't need to be instantiated to call it (since we're only
looking at search results, not opening the entire packages yet).

2) In DataPackageFactory, factor our the code that determines doctype (or eml
version) into a public method, so the resultset can call this method and pass it
the xml file in question, eg:

public static String getDPInstanceNameForDataPackage(xmlDocToInspect)

The method will return the string name of the correct datapackage class version
(eg "com.edu.ucsb.morpho.datapackage.EML200DataPAckage.java"), so the resultset
can do a class.forName() and get the datapackage class to call the
above-mentioned static method.
