There was a menu item for editing the access information in the Document menu. But now I can't find it. So how can i edit the access rules for the data package right now?
Bug #5889 (Resolved): Update documentation and installers to require Java 7https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58892013-03-09T00:01:43Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

ECP is using OpenSAML 3.0 that is now requiring Java 7.
Bug #5885 (Resolved): Upgrading EML version causes access policy to be losthttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58852013-02-27T06:21:44Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Matt saved a DataONE package to the MN using R, but the EML was 2.0.1 and had no access rules in it. The SystemMetadata specified public access. When he opened it in Morpho it had him upgrade it to 2.1.1, but the access rules were lost.
Bug #5877 (Resolved): Updating the access rule cause the data package being modifiedhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58772013-02-22T07:31:36ZJing Taotao@nceas.ucsb.edu

I opened a local data package and use the menu Document|Access Information to add an access rule for it. However, the location of the data package was set to be blank when this was done. This means the data package has been updated. Actually we have decided that changing access rules only modifies the system metadata rather than the data package.
Bug #5871 (Resolved): The revision manager contains the data files from different profile after u...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58712013-02-19T21:26:23ZJing Taotao@nceas.ucsb.edu

A Revision Manager in Morpho 2.0 manages the data objects in a single profile. So every profile has a Revision Manager.

However, after upgrading from Morpho 1.x to Morpho 2.0, a Revision Manager may contain the objects from the other profiles.

For example, Morpho 1.x has two profiles - A and B. After the upgrading, the RevisionManager of the profile A only has the data objects in the profile A. This is correct behavior. However, the Revision Manager of the profile B has not only the objects in the profile B but also the objects in the profile A. This is not correct.
Bug #5869 (Resolved): Test morpho 2.0 on windowshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58692013-02-19T01:14:22ZJing Taotao@nceas.ucsb.edu

Both Ben and I are working morpho on Mac OS X. We need to test it on windows.
The tests inlcude:
1. Upgrade the morpho from 1.x to 2.0.
2. Save a data package to the local and network.
3. Update the data package to the local and network.
4. Search the lcoal and network.
5. Test against a GMN.
Bug #5862 (Resolved): update Readme to refer to DataONEhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58622013-02-13T02:15:57ZMatt Jonesjones@nceas.ucsb.edu

The current Readme file that is displayed in the installer references uploading data to the KNB, but does not acknowledge that data can also be uploaded to other DataONE nodes. Need to generalize this description to explain the new role of DataONE, while probably still highlighting the KNB node.
Bug #5860 (Resolved): When morpho saves a network data package to local, the system metadata may ...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58602013-02-12T07:17:52ZJing Taotao@nceas.ucsb.edu

Here are the steps to produce the bug:
1. Create a data package with data object and save it to the network. It contains:
resourceMap_foo.1, foo.1 and data.1

2. Update data.1 and save it to both network and local. It contains resourceMap-foo.2, foo.2 and data.2.

When we check the metadata for the resourceMap_foo.2, we found it has the <obsoletes>resourceMap_foo.1</obsoletes>. Actually the local doesn't have resourceMap_foo.1.

Same thing to the foo.2 and data.2.
Bug #5855 (Resolved): The online copy doesn't show the last updatehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58552013-02-08T22:19:11ZJing Taotao@nceas.ucsb.edu

Here are the steps to produce the bug:
1. Create a new data package and save it locally.
2. Update the title and save it to the network.

The morpho package frame will show the correct title and data package is on the network.

However, it you read the package from the dataone server, it shows that the package still has the previous title.

The morpho search result shows the previous title as well.
Bug #5807 (Resolved): Update LaTEX user guide to reflect new 2.0 changeshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58072013-01-24T19:04:55Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Notably:
-Probably need a new D1 section to explain it.
-Preferences (CN/MN selection)
-Authentication (potentially new accounts, certainly no org drop down, certificates)
-Profile (no username/auth information collected)
-Identifiers (local, no revision, UUID?, DOI?)
-Access Control (no longer in EML, set at CN after initial save to MN)
-Replication Policy (in SM, set at CN after initial save to MN)
-query (support for Metacat pathquery, others TBD).
Bug #5802 (Resolved): Use UUID for local identifiershttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58022013-01-23T15:52:04Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Currently in Morpho 2.x development we are using a "scope.XX" format for our local identifiers. The "XX" is incremented whenever the need arises for a new identifier, whether as a revision to the previous package or as a new data file or as a new data package. This can be confusing because you might infer relationships between packages as older or newer even though they have no relationship to one another.

If we went with UUID locally we would have very opaque/very unique identifiers and would not be at risk of tricking people with faulty semantics. The downside is that they are long and not user friendly.

When it came time to save them to the network the likelihood of collision is als very low.

When it came time to "publish them" (see bug #5799) we would have the EZID service generate a [shorter] DOI for us so that it would be more friendly for print media and citations.
Bug #5801 (Resolved): Test Morpho against GMNhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/58012013-01-23T15:41:21Zben leinfelderleinfelder@nceas.ucsb.edu

Specifically:
-create (save new package)
-update (save another revision of same package)
-read (open by id)
-search (will be disabled and fail gracefully)

Optionally:
-try to create a scenario where there is an identifier conflict on the server and we need to call MN.generateIdentifier() to resolve it. I am not even sure GMN has this implemented, but Roger Dahl will know.
Bug #5791 (Resolved): The login window shows the subject of name as the login user namehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/57912013-01-18T17:55:57ZJing Taotao@nceas.ucsb.edu

Everyday, when i started morpho and opened the login dialog. It shows:
Orgnaization: knb -Ecoinformatics:
Username: CN=Jing Tao T6470,O=DataONE Test,C=US,DC=cilogon,DC=org
Password:

Actually, the Username should be "tao". It gives the wrong default username and I have to modify it.
Bug #5768 (Resolved): Too many files in the incomplete directoryhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/57682012-12-13T18:03:21ZJing Taotao@nceas.ucsb.edu
