Redmine Bug #5771 (New): Internet Explore 9 in Win7 doesn't save drop down parameter choiceshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/57712012-12-13T22:35:28ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

In IE9 in Win7, if you change a component's parameter drop-down value, save your pipe, leave and come back to editing the pipe, you'll see the parameter value is now set to a newly inserted blank entry at the top of the drop-down list, instead of what you chose. This does affect (break) running the pipe too.

SP announced support for IE 7 and 8 in 2010. I don't have a box w/ IE7 or 8 to check on this atm.

I plan to update our help w/ info to not recommend IE9.
Bug #5770 (New): Internet Explorer 9 in Win7 doesn't properly show the "Are you sure you want to ...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/57702012-12-13T22:23:30ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

In Win7, Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421 doesn't properly show the unsaved changes dialog ("Are you sure you want to leave"...). You can't see the two buttons (leave/stay).
Bug #5765 (New): automatically determine whether to use Table or Raw viewhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/57652012-12-11T21:50:47ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

On the results page for a pipe, the user may toggle between Raw/Table views, with Raw now (r31220) being the default, since not all results are tabular. Ideally the better default option would be chosen for the user. Attempting to determine this in js is not a complete solution, instead we probably need to pass in a per-result jsp variable.
Bug #5764 (New): move pipe Cache Time setting to Settings pagehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/57642012-12-11T20:55:25ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

The Cache Time setting is accessible on the Edit Name/Edit Description page for a pipe. I had trouble remembering where it was and think it'd be more intuitive to create a general 'Pipe Settings' section above the 'Components Settings' section on the Settings page.
Bug #5730 (In Progress): allowDisconnectedGraphs is now always true for SP, documentation must be...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/57302012-11-07T23:13:37ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

After discussion w/ Paul, changed the default blank sdf workflow to always allow disconnected graphs. Documentation noting this is not allowed must be removed.
Bug #5729 (New): problems with parameter choices that end in whitespacehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/57292012-11-06T02:05:03ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

If from an e.g. filter SP component in the frontend (browser), if you select a parameter that is a string that ends with a space(s?), the first time you move this component around in the editor, the parameter choice flips back to the default. If you select the parameter choice you choose the first time again, move the component on canvas again, your choice remains.

Also, I don't think such filters choices are working.
Bug #5479 (New): protect against running injected MoMLshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/54792011-08-30T18:26:51ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

The client currently submits a MoML workflow to the server to run. We should only allow running MoML workflows that use approved actors.
Bug #5477 (New): leaving 'Execution engine status' page open can cause problems for apachehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/54772011-08-20T00:38:43ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

Leaving the developer 'Execution engine status' page open can cause problems for the apache server - the apache thread hangs.

Paul suggests:
Remove the html meta tag that refreshes the page automatically, and add a link to the bottom of the page that we can use to manually refresh.

Also, remove the refresh meta tag from the detail page that you get when you drill into the details of any given engine.
Bug #5476 (New): consolidate private data, and automatically fill it inhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/54762011-08-20T00:32:38ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

Currently in SciencePipes there are a number of files that use passwords or private keys. It would be nice if these values only needed to be kept in one or a few files, and something like Spring was used to automatically substitute in the values.
Bug #5468 (New): produce dynamic chartshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/54682011-08-16T20:01:10ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

Switch to using new version of Google Charts API or some open-source alternative to produce interactive chart results. This enhancement may be out of scope, but would be nice.
Bug #5466 (In Progress): remove any private data from SciencePipes codebasehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/54662011-08-16T19:41:15ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

Remove any passwords, keys, etc. from the SciencePipes codebase before committing it into the Kepler SVN repository.
Bug #5465 (New): make SciencePipes licensing compatible with Keplerhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/54652011-08-16T19:34:02ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

Paul is ok with licensing SciencePipes as BSD.

*Need to create the license file(s).

*Go through SciencePipes JARLIb finding and checking JAR licenses, creating a list of JARs and their licenses ala other Kepler modules.

*MXGraph should not be checked into the Kepler repository. We either need to check with them re: a similar free for non-profit use license that can be used for Kepler, find a substitute library, or some other solution.
Bug #5464 (In Progress): move SciencePipes codebase to kepler repositoryhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/54642011-08-16T19:20:23ZDerik Barseghianbarseghian@nceas.ucsb.edu

Move SciencePipes from Cornell CVS into a module in the Kepler SVN repository. This module will initially not work with Kepler 2.x.
