Redmine Bug #2542 (New): revise XML schemahttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/25422006-09-08T00:15:28ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

Need a simpler schema that can scale better. Something that references other elements within itself, perhaps more like VegetWeb. Something that relies on known elements instead of spelling everything out. More piecemeal, perhaps instead of one large doc.
Bug #2532 (New): When users aren't logged in, prompt to do so in popup formhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/25322006-09-01T16:13:38ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

currently users have to login with a regular link and they lose where they were. It would be great if we could pop-up a login screen where users log in, then when they submit that, it reposts the original page, with them now logged in.
Bug #2477 (New): Login forwarding problemshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/24772006-06-27T18:41:24ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

I registered as a new user. Then I went to "submit data" link, put a file name into the box and pressed "continue." The site correctly told me that I didn't have certification (though this should have been done earlier, see bug 2476). Then it prompted me to login. I didn't login, but went somewhere else with the links on that page. Then when I tried to login another time, it forwarded me to UploadPlot.do or something similar and there was a tomcat error saying the bean "email" couldn't be found. That is probably needed for uploadPlot.do, but regardless, I should not have been sent there from the second login attempt, but rather to the homepage.
Bug #2406 (New): Automate homepage map- color by number of plots per statehttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/24062006-04-07T05:33:04ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

This could potentially be done with some software that USDA uses on their plants site. But now, that homepage map is generated manually by michael any time new plots are added. For this to continue being useful, it will need to be autogenerated.
Bug #2331 (New): ensure NVC.doc standards doc matches what's in VegBankhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/23312006-01-12T22:12:53ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

update definitions of fields where applicable. Consult Bob if needed.
Bug #2164 (New): allow southern hemisphere UTM conversions.https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/21642005-08-01T23:16:30ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

Needs to be added in options so that if someone is entering UTM's in Southern
Hemisphere, it will to the math right.
Bug #2135 (Resolved): Dynamic mapping in VegBank, i.e. GoogleMapshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/21352005-07-05T16:49:15ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

Dynamic mapping of plots (either in state categories and actual Lat/Longs) would
be quite helpful. More is described on the wiki page.
Bug #2075 (New): make datasets have keywords, ala gmailhttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/20752005-05-02T23:37:56ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #2074 (Resolved): Login on IE doesn't work (use aldo.msi.ucsb.edu, works there)https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/20742005-05-02T21:33:22ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #2003 (Resolved): put String rowclass in standard jsp declarationshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/20032005-03-07T20:37:47ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

this way don't have to define it in each page and risk doubling it up in an
included page
Bug #1967 (New): Fix downloader if takes too long: create file and set to download from private s...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/19672005-02-10T21:03:48ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.eduBug #1946 (Resolved): try to use "commTypeID" for Z_USER_Ihttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/19462005-02-07T23:44:32ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

use a query to imitate the real table. Check thoroughly and update Z_FieldDesc
Bug #1860 (Resolved): XML Loader: need to read incoming accessionCodes from user and check to see...https://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/18602005-01-10T23:14:37ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

VegBranch accession codes for a user are matched to existing VegBank
accessionCodes through userDatasetItem table- when an xml file is split into
multiple files for the sake of file size. Our loader needs to look into this
table for a user to see if the accessionCode a user is giving us has already
been loaded. If so, match to the element with matching AccCode instead of adding
new element. This is already properly done within one XML file's load.
Bug #1859 (Resolved): XML Loader: need receipt for VegBranch to update user's local AccessionCodeshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/18592005-01-10T23:11:57ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu

MLee has developed a receipt that VegBranch can process. This needs to be
generated and also emailed to the user so that the old VegBr accession Codes can
get updated on the user's machine to VB. accessionCodes. More on this later.
Bug #1804 (New): export data from VegBranch into several formatshttps://projects.ecoinformatics.org/ecoinfo/issues/18042004-12-03T16:59:37ZMichael Leemlee@nceas.ucsb.edu
