Description
Need a simpler schema that can scale better. Something that references other elements within itself, perhaps more like VegetWeb. Something that relies on known elements instead of spelling everything out. More piecemeal, perhaps instead of one large doc.

might be nice to take in some international XML standard like the one TDWG is working on with Susan Wiser.
