Description

The color scheme we use for maps is not very user-friendly for color-blind users. We need to study options for alternate color schemes. Bob needs to assign to someone to study.

The one change I think we might make would be tosort the colors of record types so that the 'best' records are thedarkest. Thus, looking at the achromatopsia example we would place theblack (aka blue) in the specimen row, and the light gray (aka yellow) in the site record row, and so on.

Bob, regard's Jasper McChesney's palette: The one change I think we
should make is to sort the colors of record types so that the 'best' records are the darkest. Thus, looking at the achromatopsia example we would place the black (aka blue) in the specimen row, and the light gray (aka yellow) in the site record row, and so on.

Jasper's response: I was actually thinking of recommending light-to-dark mapping; though I stuck with greater similarity to the current scheme for the mock-up, I think your suggestion is more ideal (even though there may be some disorientation for existing users).

As soon as Weakley and a few weigh in, it is timeto implement the change.
