bug 1611 is Tim Howard's plots. So what data are these 1500? Alvar is not
nearly that big. For now, Alvar is considered PART of this.

The NY ESF is a 1500 subplot (500 plot) forest dataset. The 85 plot alvar
datasset is an international dataset. No relation between the two. Tim was
going to load the NY ESF plots, but doesn't have time.
