SEEK

We proposed a modification to the Napier schema in late July 2004. This served
as a good point for discussion about SEEK needs for the Taxonomic Exchange
Schema. Two conference calls on July 30 and August 19 brought the Taxon group
closer to consensus on the requirements for the schema. Several emails on the
SEEK-Taxon listserve have further clarified minor issues. A draft schema which
addresses the concerns of both Napier and KU has been checked in today
(http://cvs.ecoinformatics.org/cvs/cvsweb.cgi/seek/projects/taxon/schemas/napier_abcdNames.xsd
Version 0.71) for consideration and testing.

The latest schema given to developers addresses many of the issues we had
raised. We are using the schema and will come back with additional suggestions
if it is not able to meet our needs. Closing this bug for now.
