Bug #2643
closedSearch for name synonymized by Weakley
0%
Description
There is some unexplained inconsistency here, but in the end I see two types of errors resultsing from one situation.
If one searches for Carya tomentosa, the message appears that name is not found. However, the name is a synonym and should pop up as or point to the recognized taxon, Carya alba.
This can get a bit more complex in the case where a name might point to two or more taxa. For example, one enters Lycopodium obscurum and now gets redirected to Dendrolycopodium obscurum, but should be pointed to a choice of three Weakley concepts including Dendrolycopodium obscurum, D. hickeyi, and D. dendroideum.

We have fixed the first half.
The second half is harder. If the name searched for is not recognized by Weakley, but multiple weakley concepts list the nominal of said name as greater than that concept, the user should be propted to choose, rather than having the atlas arbitrarily select one. This is not critical, so I am downgrading the priority.

I guess the second half aslo works. Take Negundo negundo as an example.
