The problem is that at least once stems have been sampled that were planted. In any case, we should clearly mark planted stems as such in the db. Stem source is a field that could be used to do this, but if the type of planting isn't known, that's a problem, plus, we need something in the stemCount table, I think. Perhaps stem source would suffice for archive, though. I'm not sure if it would be clear that that stem source applied to all stems in stem count: in fact I think that's bad logic.
