Description

Concrete. The question came up as to drainage category for
impermiable surfaces such as concrete, or more realistically hard-packed
clay. The Manual makes reference to a gley-horizon for poorly drained, yet
hard clay recently modified by construction equipment will not be gleyed.

Action Item: Forbes will research this in the USDA Soil Survey literature
and report back. Changes will be proposed to the group and ultimately
implemented by Michael.

History

#1 Updated by Michael Lee about 13 years ago

Forbes has spoken to someone who knows soils and there is no clear easy answer.

add "concrete soil" option: datasheets, protocol, and entry tool.

#2 Updated by Robert Peet about 13 years ago

"impermeable surface"

#3 Updated by Michael Lee about 13 years ago

entry tool: fixed, v211p37 (post)

This version is being backed up to isis (unc)

Now, datasheets need to have that option added. Protocol needs updating.
