Bug #3994
closedReport Designer - use "workflow outline" rather than Items of Interest
0%
Description
Instead of requiring that users manually add ports and parameters to the list of "Items of Interest" - we could use a filtered outline of all the namedObjs in the model that would likely be be "reportable". Would want to omit the cruft and only include "leaves" in cases where there are nested entities. The objects with leading underscores would be gone, and there are likely other objects we could safely assume would never be reported on from the model.
Note: I'm not seeing the "tree view" of the model as an option in the View menu anymore, but that would be a starting point for the outline view.

I've modified the designer panel to allow it to accept dragged objects (NamedObjs) from the outline view.
This is a major win!
getting there....

This is now a viable source for ports AND parameters.
I'd like to use it as the sole source for Dynamic Report Items.

now the top portion of the ItemsOfInterestPanel [re]uses the workflow outline view of the workflow contents. you can drag from there onto the report.
