Improvements to Community Webpages
Added by Michael Lee about 15 years ago.
Updated over 14 years ago.
Description
1) add community name (scientific and common)
2) Add woody strata (T/S)
3) Add # stems, BA
4) Switch to percentile instead of range for soil sliders
5) Switch position to within 4 main group region instead of full dataset
6) eliminate soils fields: %'s, coarse, N,P
7) add elevation, slope, aspect (how, sine transposition?), incident solar radiation (find data)
7)... aspect should be deviation from 180
done in a developmental test version, hopefully to be uploaded to the website tonight:

It would be nice to be able to double-sort, starting the sort on one field then extending to the next as you click. Might be necessary to add a <tr> between header and other rows for sort, which could be removed. Sort will need a reset button (original sort order stored in hidden <td> at far right?
5 is too complicated, but we still want 4.
Also, add B horizon SSC pH Ca Mg K Mn and Ca/Mg
Link species directly to the atlas.
Add a list of plots with date sampled and county - as tab in top and direct link in Veg of Carolinas pages.
Add 4th approximation field, too. (Get this from fringelist4.xls in the project 117 folder)
not listed here, but now there is a key that shows the accuracy of plot location by pin color.
We need to allow title tags on headers. They are getting overwritten by sorting routine.
I have made all the updates requested. B horizon variables are shown. So do slope, aspect, elevation. 4th approximation is shown. Sliders are now narrower and the A and B horizon are both shown side-by-side.
The sliders are now based on percentile instead of overall position, though that could be configured by the user now, if they'd prefer the other. For now, I'm leaving it as "simpler is better."
I also added a plot list.
Species names link to the atlas of the SE (NCU herbarium).
