Bug #5812: Rework default skin[s] to use SOLR query
Task #5915: Use MN.query(solr) in NCEAS skin
Create NCEAS search form that uses SOLR instead of pathquery
Added by ben leinfelder over 11 years ago.
Updated about 11 years ago.
Description
The UI can stay the same, but the underlying query that is generated (via JS?) would be SOLR syntax and would be sent to the MN.query() endpoint rather than the Metacat Servlet API.
- Target version set to 2.1.0
- Assignee changed from Jing Tao to ben leinfelder
This is under way. Decided to use the server-side XSLT processing we already have for pathquery and other XML->HTML transformations using qformat (aka, skin name)
- Subject changed from Create NCEAS search form that SOLR instead of pathquery to Create NCEAS search form that uses SOLR instead of pathquery
- Status changed from New to Closed
It's very basic, but works. And searches should be so much quicker!
