Description

link errors prevent build. Some specific problem with libclient.a not
resolving all the symbols that it needs.

examining library dependencies for OCI under 8.0.5

kpu* symbols that are not resolved during link are found in the
$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib/kpudfo.o object, which appears to typically be linked in
only during a static link. By adding $DEF_ON to $DBMS_LIB in the mk.config
file I was able to successfully build both SRB and MCAT under Oracle 8.0.5.
Testing functionality still to be done.

Added diff output as attachment showing failures for 4 test cases.

Rajasekar indicates that the failed test cases are big problems realted to
Oracle 8.0.5, and recommends upgrading to Oracle 8.1.5 rather than debugging
these particular issues.
