<span> HTML element is never closed in the Registry HTML, causing errors in IE8

Description

There is a span element in the Abstract area of the registry HTML sent from Metacat to MetacatUI which does not have a closing tag. This causes an error in IE8 - it will only display the HTML after this opening span tag. So the Registry in IE8 and earlier only displays the fields for Keywords and following.
