Description
Mike Jennings has had problems requesting certification. He has filled out
the form, with some entries up to 130 characters, presses the "submit" button
and nothing happens. I take this to mean that the Netscape N has asteroids
whiz by or the IE globe spins 'round and 'round, but no new html page is
displayed. No error message or success message.
Michael Lee attempted to duplicate this and succeeded in getting only a white
screen after submitting with long entries in the textarea fields (>130 char)
and received success notices when fewer characters were entered. Michael Lee
was not able to get the "nothing happens" error that Jennings experienced.

The certification request is logged to the log, but apparently not emailed
(successfully) to anyone. This needs fixing for sure and soon.

Fixed e-mail and increased the size of some database fields.
Needs to have validation that prevents invalid data getting to the database at
some point.
