Bug #1506
closedNew Datatable Wizard: Defining custom units - new unit not persistant between selections...
0%
Description
I am importing a data table consisting of several colums of image data
into an existing data package using the New Datatable Wizard. I am defining
the attributes (columns) of the table, using the Add button. I have selected
the Absolute category for the column, and have completed the 'Define new unit'
process to create a new unit type called 'Radiance' (this data is remote
sensing data). OK, so for the first column this was successful.
Now, I need to describe the second column (also radiance) in the data table.
I complete the top half of Define Attribte or Column screen, selecting the
Absolute category again, then select a unit type for this column. I would
like to use the 'new' unit type that I created for the previous column, but
it is NOT among the list of Standard Unit types, and I have to repeat the
Define new unit process again.
Note: ONE of the new unit types I created for another test IS in the unit
type dropdown, so I know that it is possible to add persistant new
unit types. It just does not happen every time I try to add one.

fixed by Peru (changed so that custom units are now available for reuse within a
package).
