Description
Need to integrate Dan's new metadata editor as an alternative metadata
editor component to demonstrate the alternative metadata editing interface.
This involves turning the component into a Java Bean and adding new panels to
dmanclient to handle it. This editor will not be feature complete at this time,
but is rather just a demo of the new UI appraoch.

ok, have added the new editor as a "demo component" and in the process cerated a
new Plugin architecture for hot-pluggable components. As the new editor is
extremely incomplete, we will have to revisit its true integration with mde.

Lowered priority because we might drop MDE and replace it with another editing
solution.

Completed demo. Have now moved to a new editor code base developed by higgins,
so this bug is irrelevant.
