Description
Metacat should be available with and without the spatial options -- Metacat
without the spatial options will, obviously, be smaller and have fewer
dependencies. Also, the Metacat spatial option should be packaged as a sort of
plugin so that it can be added to exsisting Metacat instances without too much
difficulty.

Because Geoserver et. al. can be so cleanly integrated into metacat and the spatial harvesting script causes the Metacat Servlet to depend on geotools, there is no need to package the spatial option independently; It will ship with the 1.7 release.
