Description

Carya ovata Weakley ? Carya ovata nominal should be
Carya ovata Weakley < Carya ovata nominal.
Perhaps this error is because Carya ovata Weakley >= Carya ovata F and your code does not know what to do? We want the largest possible concept for a nominal concept, so because Carya ovata Weakley < Carya ovata FNA, Carya ovata Weakley < Carya ovata Nominal.

This bug is originally from "other ideas and observations from Peet and Weakley"

Not really. The reason is that there is relationship:

Carya ovata (Alan Weakley) < Carya ovata (FNA)

This is closely related to bug 2627. In both cases the key issue is that nominal concepts must be either > or = all other concepts based on the same name. In short, the routine that generated the nominal concepts has a bug such that we have ? or | relationships rather than the correct Weakley < nominal relationship. This needs to be fixed throughout the database of relationships.
