Description

According to Callie Bowdish, saving or updating data packages takes around 3 minutes from Morpho, even after the fixes that occured as part of bug # 2805. This may be a morpho problem rather than a metacat one. We need more accurate statistics to assess this, such as the size of the data files being uploaded, the size of the EML document, etc.

I installed a 1.8.0 metacat in dev machine, which have identical database knb to production server. But callie found it is much faster to save package from morpho if morpho points dev metacat.
The only thing i can think it is postgresql version. In dev, it is 8.3, in production it is 7.4.
Moreover, morpho saving package is very fast in my local test server too, which is 8.2 and has almost identical database, and hardware was much worse than production server.
I will update postgresql db to 8.3 soon.

The latest update fixed this. A posgresql configuration change for the new version of posgresql fixed the problem
