Description

I installed morpho-1.6.1-jre on Windows Vista. This requires changing the properties with Compatibility mode set to Windows XP (Service Pack 2). I was unable to find the stderr.log file. Another user was also unable to see the stderr.log (on Windows Vista) which had been requested to determine why Morpho had "frozen" on him.

I checked all of the file view settings.

is this possibly a permission issue - the log is usually written to the install directory.
if we can't write to that file, it would be good to default to stdout

Just checking the on vista, morpho still can't generate the stderr.log file.

you can install Morpho in a non-Program Files directory (user's home for example) and the log file will be created and written to. This was verified on Windows 7 by R Reeves.
