Description

During replication, Metacat is getting a lot of errors that look like:

knb 06:35:44,975: [ERROR]: error to handle update doc in xml_revisions in time replication<error>Error reading document /export/home/tcat/prd/metacat_data/metacat/documents/knb-lter-hfr.120.3 from disk: null</error>

This bug was third in a chain reaction that is described in but 3889. Basically, permissions issues caused zero length metadata files to get written to disk. Then those files caused errors to get returned to the replicant. Those errors had a path in them that was confusing at first.

Fixed the permissions and zero length file issue in 3908 and 3889.
