Description
I think this is the right group of people for this problem, but I'm
not entirely sure. I'm trying to install Morpho 1.7.0, but it's
getting stuck when trying to create shortcut icons. The same thing
happened with the Kepler 2.0.0-alpha installer, and we figured out
that izpack requires some special 64-bit dlls for 64-bit Windows. I
don't really know any more specific details, but I recall Chad being
able to fix it for Kepler.
<regetz> one of our grad interns needs to work with morpho today
<regetz> she is using windows 7
<regetz> i thought it would be good for her to test the RC while working
<regetz> but the installer gets hung up
<regetz> think this is the same as http://bugzilla.ecoinformatics.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4422 ?
<jing> did you try install it without create shortcut icons on desktop?
<regetz> ah, let me try (she's in a different room) -- brb
<regetz> we don't get to the point of having that option
<regetz> it gets through the step with the two progress bars -- they complete fine
<regetz> then when you click next, it produces a blank page, and the next button is unresponsive
<regetz> from there, you can only go back or quit
in intall-windows.xml, I added another "native" element, the installer will work: <native type="izpack" name="ShellLink_x64.dll"/>
