Description
Here is the emails from Kristin:
Dear Morpho Developers,
A student here noticed an odd Morpho behavior that I thought you
might want to be aware of, because it is a little frustrating when a
data package disappears. She created a new data package, and then used the "Save For Later"
button in the lower left corner. Later, she searched for the
package in the list of available data packages and opened it.
Deciding not to make changes at that time, she 'X'ed' out of it (hit
red
X in corner
of window). This evidently erases the saved package, because it no
longer appeared in the list of packages and we couldn't find it on
her
computer. I tried this same sequence of actions, and had the same
result.Kristin Vanderbilt
Hi Jing,
Yes, I did see the warning message this time. I don't know why I didn't
see it the other time. I suspect that I saw it, and intuitively thought
that hitting cancel wouldn't result in any information lost. Since two
students and I both made the same mistake, I think you may want to render
the warning in words that won't be overlooked: READ THIS BEFORE EXITING!!
or something like that. Or make the default behavior be saving the package
again as a temporary package.
Anyway, Morpho is working right. The users just don't read as well as
they should!
Thanks for looking in to this!
Best wishes,
Kristin
