Metacat

David,
I understand the need for this type of integration, but I wanted to note that
this harvester software MUST run outside of the LTER network as well, so it
should not have dependencies on particular LTER systems. In particular, it will
need to be run at NCEAS and other sites as part of metacat, and be distributed
with the metacat releases. This comment applies to other similar bugs that were
recently submitted as well.

David completed these triggers in January, 2004.

This issue is local to the LTER Network Office. It involves updating LDAP
entries at LTER based on changes made to the LTER database. Since this is
independent of Metacat or Harvester, future maintenance issues will be tracked
in the LNO Request Tracker.
