a participant in the september 2004 knb workshop requested that the spatial
search have operators such as union and intersection for spatial searches. an
example of intersection would be a metadata document with a large bounding box
(say the whole US)...if the user searches for something in the nevada desert,
the document described as being in the whole US should be returned. i think
this is exactly the opposite of the way that it works right now. if this is the
case, the search method that morpho uses should be better described in the
search dialog box.
