Save As dialog inconsistent between linux and mac

Description

If in Kepler under linux you Save As a workflow, and give the workflow a filename with no extension, a .xml extension is appended for you, and the resulting workflow.xml is opened.

However, if you try this on a mac, the file is saved with no extension and is then opened as moml in the text editor. I find this annoying.

Which is the proper behavior?
