I can't remember what we decided on documenting "references" elements inside the
schemas. They are currently not documented.

Should be done for the 2.0.0 release.

Completed. All references elements now use res:ReferencesGroup, which contains
the documentation for the references element. No instance file changes are
needed for this change, it is purely doen for ease of maintenance of the schemas.
