Description
Current packages are in eml-2.00beta6 format. When we support eml-2.0.0, we
need to be able to automatically convert these older packages to the new format.
This will probably be done with a stylesheet, but other mechanisms are
possible. Will likely need additional information to cover fields in eml-2.0.0
that are required that are optional in beta6.
Conversion of emlbeta6 packages to eml2 is part of the 'Export' functionality in
Morpho 1.4.0. A couple of fixes are still needed to the transformation, however.
1) add capability for 'in-line data' (especially for small data sets).
Currently, a URL to metacat is inserted for data references.
2) Need to change the url link when data is only local (i.e. not on metacat).
Use a file url on local machine?
automatic conversion of old emlbeta6 to eml2 now occurs for display (using
XSLT). Owner must save the new package before it is changed on metacat.
