Description
The mde application currently opens document windows in fixed sizes that are
awkward to use and bear no relation to the current setting of the frame size,
nor to the screen resolution. Need to make all of the windows open in a size
that makes better use of available screen real-estate, and the window sizes
chosen by the user should be persistent across sessions.

partially completed. I changed the window sizes to more fully take advantage of
a 800x600 screen, but have not yet made the window automatically size based on
the screen resolution nor have I made the window size settings persistent.

Lowered priority because we might drop MDE and replace it with another editing
solution.
